Sofa bed suggestions under £250 for daily sleeping

I need advice on a sofa bed please.

I’m looking for a sofa bed. My budget is £250 maximum. I want it to be comfortable as a sofa during the day for two people to sit on and I want to use it every night to sleep on so it needs to be comfortable to sleep on. I might be using it to sleep on for potentially 18 months or so, so it needs to be suitable for sleeping on every night and me not ending up with neckache, backache or any other joint problems. Obviously, this is a medium term solution and there are reasons why I am doing this without having to go into everything here.

Ideally, I’m looking for cream/beige or grey.

I have seen this online. Does anyone have any experience of sleeping on something like this? Will it be comfortable or too firm?

Anyone with experience of sleeping on a sofa bed, do you have any recommendations for something that would be suitable?

TIA

You won’t find something suitable on that budget - I’ve had cheap sofa beds before and they are neither comfy as sofas or beds. You need to spend at least £1500.

in your situation you would do far better looking on marketplace for something secondhand

What about 1 single sleeper chair, and then putting the rest of the cash into getting a cheap or second hand sofa that doesn’t need to double up as a bed? https://amzn.eu/d/0e9TWXiB

After lots and lots of searching we ended up with a daybed from Wayfair, very similar to the IKEA Hennes one.
I dress it up as a sofa with plenty of pillows and a throw, all bedding is stored away. Very comfortable and yes, not your average sofa look but works the best for the back.

Alternatively very good futons but you are then back at ££££.

Forget the sofa bed there’s no such thing as a good cheap one
your best option is to b a jaybee folding bed don’t go for the cheapest and use a mattress topper
they don’t take up much space folded and you can get a cover to go over them when there folded up there on wheels

they pop up on Facebook marketplace often

I would definitely look at Facebook marketplace. You will find loads of high-end (originally £1500 plus) second-hand options within your budget.

Why don’t you buy a single mattress and hide it behind the sofa in the day?

We got a second hand old M&S one, from Facebook marketplace. Very comfy, looks slightly outdated but is comfortable. Happy to send pics so you can see the style.

I had the ikea Barslov for ages that I got second hand for £100 in my first house while it was being renovated. Was perfectly fine to sleep on.
