Does anyone else think the obsession with Hannah has gone too far?

I remember her in Benidorm, and I've heard her singing and she's a great singer. Everyone is going on like she's the second coming though and it's rather OTT now.

What do you think? You can't move for her!

Oh how awful that she was someone's school bully 🥺

Bullies often make it far in life

We have to be very careful in making statements that she is a bully based on one comment from one person about something that someone else said on a thread once. I could insist that you were my school bully and spread that all over the site. That wouldn’t make it true.

She might have been a bully. She might have made someone’s life awful at school. She might still be a terrible person behind the scenes. What seems to be reported is she is a really decent person in real life. The nation loves to tear someone down when they rise, particularly if they are strong, opinionated women. If she were a bully then or now, I would have thought there would be many, many voices coming out to say that. People she has worked with, or had relationships with, or known over the years would surely be coming forward. She has been open about being bullied herself when she was a teenager. That would have been the perfect time for her former classmates to come out and give their stories about her bullying them, but that hasn’t happened. Whatever the PP’s alleged experience was with her, it doesn’t fit with what is generally known.

VP!

Not remotely surprising

Theseventhmagpie · 28/10/2026 10:01

I don’t know the woman but I don’t think she comes across well at all. There was a thread on here some months ago where a poster claimed she was severely bullied by her at school.

That's a tiresome reply. How else are you supposed to have a discussion?

If my gripe was that I think someone is overexposed I wouldn’t want a discussion about them!

I want to be her when I grow up (I’m 63). She’s incredibly talented and to me epitomises a modern woman.
BTW how tall is she? I thought she’s tall but my friend says she’s tiny irl.

In Benidorm she seemed huge! A goddess. Her DH in that must've been about 3ft tall if she's tiny!

MitheredNotDead · 28/10/2026 10:13

She was ace in the daft but very entertaining Ride or Die.

Even though it had an over the top plot her character’s physicality (as an assassin) was believable as well as the friendship between her and the other lead. Highly recommend it.

That can be said of any programme. Tad Lasso also would have been just as good if someone other than Sudekis played the lead. That doesn’t diminish his talent, it’s how acting works.

She has been nominated for and won awards for her work both on stage and on screen for singing and acting. She advocates for women’s rights and LGBTQ issues, she is prominent in supporting SAG-AFTRA, she supports many charities - particularly in supporting the arts and making it more accessible to all. If you’ve only heard of her through Ted Lasso, you’ve missed the vast majority of her career.

To use the Graham Norton show as an example of anything is laughable. The whole premise of the show is everyone trying to insert themselves in everything. It’s supposed to be a whole sofa interaction, not just one person promoting their latest venture. I could pick pretty much any guest who has been on and make the same comment. You don’t have to like her, or her work, and can insist she is over represented, but at least base that opinion on actual facts.

You're taking that very personally 😅 It's not that deep.

Maybeitllneverhappen · 28/10/2026 10:37

I enjoy watching her and seeing her on chat shows. I admire her confidence and talent. But I feel that if I met her in real life I'd find her annoying and over the top. 🤷‍♀️

This is exactly how I feel about her! She's absolutely stunning, could look at her all day, but I think she would get on my nerves very quickly

Me too. I could switch sides for her, I reckon 😂

estrogone · 28/10/2026 11:24

I love her. The end.

52, fit, healthy, gorgeous, talented. She has probably slogged her arse off to get to where she is.

Go HW - for all us menopausal 50+ women.

Haha I bet a few women feel that way about HW. She appeals to all.

I've only ever met one woman who made me feel confused. Although I think when it got to the nitty gritty I would probably have bailed. Had a bit of experimentation when young and nah. No thanks. I'm pretty sure I'd rather be celibate.
