Can someone please hold my hand because I am afraid I'm going to lose my daughter to anorexia.

I've been holding it all in for weeks. But now I feel ill and desperately tired and frightened. She doesn't see that. She sees me being her rock, an 'amazing' Mum. The irony is that I used to work in an EDS inpatient service so I've seen alot.

It's all come as such a shock and I haven't slept properly for weeks. I have just tired to phone BEAT but their helpline doesn't open til 5. So I will email them.
There are currently no inpatient beds. She is open to the local EDS intensive support team. She has been re-fed in the local AMU but is still losing weight and struggling. All the light and life she used to have has gone.

I don't know what I want from the thread really. I just need to be able to say how I feel and receive some kindness.

You have my complete empathy, currently going through the same thing, living in the same nightmare. I can’t offer any advice because I feel like I’m doing it all wrong, even though I know I’m not. Watching my child fade in front of me is the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced and when it feels never ending.

I really hope you can find some support/comfort in the boards and knowing you (and your DD) are not alone.

Thank you everyone. I have read all of your very supportive posts, they facilitated a much needed and long over due ugly cry.

Can't quite bring myself to post on the ED threads but I know they're there if and when.

Sending you lots of love and well wishes for your dd. We are 3 years in now with dd. And she moved out to go to university this year. She’s not yet healed, but getting there. When you’re ready, we are here to support you on the board / thread Weightlossworried posted. ❤️❤️
