Anti-pickpocket bags?

Hi all,

I’m due to visit Rome in a couple of weeks and have seen lots of posts regarding pickpocketing being a really big issue at the moment. I have travelled extensively to other places and not had an issue but am nervous about the situation in Rome!

I am wondering if anyone can recommend some anti pickpocket bags they have used? Not necessarily ones that are designed for that purpose, but possibly ones with a good opening mechanism that would be hard for someone to get into!

Thanks in advance :)

I’ve had this (well actually a previous model) Travelon anti-theft backpack for about 10 years. Use it every day. Well worth the money.

Use a crossbody, with a good leather strap, zipped pockets, worn at front. I love Sofia and Spritz

Got a few quid just buy some vkios. I use them abroad, I clip my zips shut and my purse is clipped inside my bag so it can’t be lifted out. They costs £3 from Amazon. Someone tried to dip my bag in Paris but couldn’t open it. I felt a sharp tug abf a girl behind me held up her hands and said ‘it wasn’t me!’ When I spun round. Then she walked off in the other direction despite joining the crowd waiting cross the road when she tried my bag.
