At the end of the last Bond film he was killed, blown to smithereens with no chance of survival.

So how can there be a new James Bond?

Honestly, I think they should just let the whole franchise die a death.

I thought that the point of the last film was to ‘kill off’ James Bond and make way for a new 007 character. Nobody else I’ve spoken to seems to agree though!

Isn’t this new film/films about his younger years?

It just resets. At the start of the very first Daniel Craig film he has just earned his 00 status. You’re not really meant to think about the previous films.

Before the DC films they were pretty much stand alone films

Lots of tv and films reset. There’s not going to be a reference to the death in the last film.

It would be confusing if Daniel Craig was still playing him and they didn’t account for the death, but new Bond, new beginning.

I have no issue with those resets . The worse ones are tv shows where the character has an arc in an episode and then the next episode they completely forget what they learned.

Wont they just set it in a different timeline. Like they did with the first Daniel Craig one?
