How many activities is too many?

Another thread got me thinking.

How many activities do your kids do Mon-Sun?

My niece has a club after school everyday except Monday and she also has one club on Saturday.

Some days she has two clubs in a day which is insane to me.

My two spend more time at the dance school than at home! Classes every weeknight, at least one and sometimes up to three. It's basically bankrupting me (£200 each per month).

They also do Guides once a week, drama once a week and one does art. They have tried football and netball as well but thankfully gave it up!

Compare that to when I was a kid. Brownies til I was 11, that was it.

10 year old 8 hours of various dance and drama classes a week. Currently also has 15 hours of rehearsals a week for a professional production she has been cast in. Its a lot 🙈

Mine have activities every day of the week, but we don't do anything at weekends.
I find it really draining and do wonder if it's too much for them.
