Need cheering up, group of kids just made pig noises at me

Just that. I was on a bike ride when I came across a group of about 9 11-12yr olds (who I know) coming the other way (cycle path). One of them said 'it's Mrs.... ' (I work in primary school) and another proceeded to then start snorting like a pig. Yes, I'm a little overweight and I guess they were showing off to each other. BUT I have non-exsistent self esteem and now feel even worse 🙁. Any useful advice on how to get over this as I'm feeling very sad.

Try not to take it so personally. They would have done it to ANY teacher they had seen.

And btw, if they were implying that you look like Miss Piggy, then I would take that as a compliment. She’s fabulous 😆

My late mother, although extremely glamourous, had the hooked nose of our family. Apparently when walking my much younger sister to school one of a gang of teenagers girls said "Big nose". She immediately said " Have you seen how fat her ankles are?"

The others immediately looked at them, to girl in questions embarrassment. I would never usually think comments about someones body are acceptable, but it this case, it was.

I hope she learned a lesson.

I hope you report this and they get dealt with otherwise it's just yet another shitty act of anti social behaviour that becomes normal/acceptable.

Absolutely report them. Bullying of teachers is real and should be stamped out.

In my old school a group of girls teased a young female teacher who was a bit pear shaped. Not massive or anything but they made thunder thighs comments. The poor woman became anorexic and eventually died.

So yes, take it seriously.

Rude little bastards 😡 if you know who they are please report them to the school. Sorry you had such an unpleasant experience. Don't let them get you down, we all have things we're self conscious about. I bet you could have made some critical observations about their appearance! But you didn't because you're not an arsehole like them!

This is a really good point. Their behaviour needs nipping in the bud - I’d report.
