Yes, still awake at close to 2am. Havoc had an accident and I had to change the bed. Now both kids are up and Havoc is hungry ... 🤦‍♀️

Now I have to google chicken salt.

And now both kids have had a piece of banana, a couple pieces of bagel with pbj and a bit of water. We've done toilet & a diaper change. We've had meows and a kitty cuddle.
Baby has followed me holding the back of my pyjamas then wrapped arms around my leg as I walked saying, I love you mummy.

And this while we were all in the bathroom:

Havoc asked: how was my draw board made?
I said: People with little hands using little tools.
Havoc thought for a second then asked: Babies?
Me: Why babies? (Laughing)
Havoc: Babies have little hands.
Then Baby said: But, babies don't have tools.

The alarm is set for 6:45. It's going to be a rough morning. 🤦‍♀️

Afternoon. Another ragingly busy week at work, one big old meeting this morning, so been a week of prep for that and now all done - am so ready for the weekend.
Today

• SpiritDoggo had a groom Wednesday and looks like she has a rash - I've now got lots of pictures of her lady bits on my phone to see if it is getting better before getting her to the vets.😂
• desk needs a tidy, I need to shred some paperwork
• I've seen some 'easy' (!) lampshade making tutorials on IG am tempted to have a go at the weekend I have a very dull plain white one I can experiment (butcher) on
• we had a food waste bin delivered today - so excited - a banana skin will be the first item in
• spare tiles from the bathroom have finally gone in the shed
• i dug out some crafty stuff for one of the nieces yesterday but I need to tidy away all the stuff from when I was looking
• refpilates tonight so need to make sure I have some clean kit

I've just remembered a whole load of prep for tomorrow's meetings so must go (boo) I'll read back and see what I am missing and if Havoc has found us from the old thread !,have a good one SoE (woohoo I'm back)

I'm down with a heavy cold which probably explains the bleugh of earlier in the week. Just finished work and plan to vegetate as much as possible for a couple of days. I am almost pleased about it 😆 Luckily for me DH did our big shop last night. And there is plenty of smug soup in the freezer.

Out of steam for tagging but hope you're all well and I'm enjoying the updates 😘

Thought things were humming along despite a scant 4 hours of sleep:
Got my mum on IV #1 in-between prepping breakfast and my coffee;
turned laundry on with last night's sheets and a few extras;
Got my toast pbj'd and made my latte;
checkec my mum's IV and it was running too slowly; 😾
checked on status of dc finishing their breakfast while watching Number Blocks and Baby had vomitted so off to bathroom and put Baby in front of toilet;
Cleaned floor threw cloth into wash;
checked tbe IV and took it off - good enough and #2 needs to start now;
started mixing #2 and vial with medication popped off while mixing so liquid powerful antibiotics on floor;
re-attached vial, finished mixing, wiped it off, hooked it all up;
wiped floor and cleaned sink and toilet;
Now finishing toast and meh-latte. 😭

@Mumtobabyhavoc if you name change you do keep the original name in your list of user names. I think I have 3 usernames attached to my MN account email. So you can do like I’ve done and revert. I could still use Watchphone on another thread. I can’t swap and change between multiple usernames on a thread eg between SoE and WP as that would be sockpuppeting; but is prevented by MN tech

Got Havoc to school, cancelled after school play date due to Baby vomiting; did a quick Costco shop; picked up my mum's medication and supplies; home and unpacked all; have put laundry through a 2nd wash just to ensure clean. Now off to doctor appt.

Good news is Baby's has dine well with Tylenol & Advil, ate toast whole I was out and ran to meet me when I got home. 💛

I've now got Baby asleep on my lap. 💛

School pick-up shortly, pot of broth simmering on the stove from the rotisserie chicken I picked up at Costco earlier.

Laundry basket is huge, so might get another load on later.

Did I mention I'm trying to make a sourdough starter? I mixed the first batch of flour/water last night. 🤞

I am up worrying. I sorted the issue yesterday with the unpaid invoice, but there are more problems with my e-mail. I'm only receiving about half the e-mails sent to me or less. I sent myself 4 tests yesterday and have just sent myself another 4 and have received none of them. It's anxiety provoking because I was expecting something very important this week and it may have gone astray. I have rung the company twice and got their main swithcboard but cannot get through to the department i need.

Gah!

Still up and musing. Distracting myself with netflix and MN. The wind here is building. We are scheduled for a storm this weekend they say.

I did quite well yesterday with my housework. I ended up googling 'chores list' and then printed out a few lists. It took away the mental load of thinking about what I was doing and I just got onto the next thing.

@SpiritOfEdna also lovely to see your old name! You are very restrained only having a few user names. I went through a phase where I was worried about being outed so changed every Monday. Except for the Lobelias which I save for these threads. (There is another Lobelia around though who isn't me).

Now I generally stick to this name and a couple of others.

It is food caddy collection day today but I'm not going to put mine out yet as it's very windy and I don't have enough in it to weigh it down this week. If I hear them come (above the sound of wind and heavy rain) I'll run out with it.

Feeling absolutely rubbish despite being powered by beechams max. I don't think I've had a cold for about 18 months so I'll accept it with good grace and have a lazy day. It's certainly the weather for it.

@FourSeasonsLobelia sorry you were up worrying half the night 🫂 I was up late as too uncomfortable to sleep and still woke early.

I stocked up on soft tissues thankfully for my poor nose, but might see if DH will get some balsam ones on his way home.

Hoping none of you gets blown away today. It's rough out there and more to follow.

No projects for me today but i will do the usual routines so the house isn't too wrecked going into the weekend.

@FourSeasonsLobelia I wonder if your email troubles are linked to the world wide Web security issues that arose the other day? Or did they start sooner?

Not much to report here, watching and waiting. Managed to book D into a holiday club for a day next week at the last minute, thankfully.

Have been making an effort to make more smug dinners, this week saw a cauliflower/chickpea/peppers tray bake with tahini sauce, and a parsnip and pear soup! smug face

A bit fragile today after far too much wine yesterday and then the trains were all cancelled on our line on the way home. Got as far as I could and then got an uber the rest of the way.

Hope you get your email issue sorted @FourSeasonsLobelia. Also meant to comment on your post about your DS. It sounds quite stressful and I hope the counselling helps him.

Sorry you are feeling rubbish @WintersFrog. It’s a good day to just chill on the sofa with a blanket and tissues and hot drinks and a good book.

@Mumtobabyhavoc - I’m exhausted just reading your posts. Glad I’ve given you a new idea for a field trip for the DCs. DS used to love it.

I am waiting for M&S to let me know my package has arrived in store and I will go pick it up and take back some returns. Then I might do some more wardrobe sorting this afternoon. I also have five bags to go to charity so might at least get them into the car today and off the hall floor.

My extra task so far today was cleaning the coffee machine. And this afternoon will be de-cobwebbing the wall behind my bed. The sheer glamour! 😀

It’s been raining all day here but no sign of the predicted high winds yet. A real day for staying in however I’m out tonight for dinner with friends. I quite fancy a pizza and wine on the sofa watching Traitors but I know I’ll enjoy it when I get there.
Today I’ve made a cake for a village event tomorrow, been to the butchers and greengrocers, cleaned out some kitchen cupboards and done some boring admin.
Hope everyone has stayed warm and dry and not been blown away by the storm!

I am quite glad not to be going out tonight @petalpower. We are home with fajitas and the Traitors.

Didn’t get many of my jobs done although M&S did get my package but not until this afternoon so I went and did that and had a mooch around and then came home.

All of today’s jobs are now tomorrow’s list….

Lovely and rainy here, I am in my element. School has finished for half term, ive got the heating on, dd in her superhero costume munching on lollipops and ive put This Morning on as background noise. Love Alison Hammond!

Baked cupcakes for dd's school bake sale but now i've got all anxious that maybe everybody hated them or maybe i left a hair in them (despite deep cleaning the kitchen before baking and having my hair tied up) or something else has gone wrong 😩

Spent so much money on ingredients, baked like 6 lots of cakes, and the kitchen looks like a bomb site, but they were done!

Anyway

I've got to sort out my flat, I need to paint dd's bedroom with paint I bought in the summer. Need to clear out my kitchen and bin a load of shit

In fact, i'm gonna go through the flat and bin everything I haven't used this year! Sick of the clutter!

Dd has a weird teacher who made a comment about us 'being all alone' during half term, so thats playing on my mind 🤷🤷🤷. Dd was super scared to go with her to her classroom, something isnt right there.

🤣 I feel whole again 🤣. Afternoon from a very miserable cold, windy and wet north west!

• Pay day so lots of bills flying out of my account and I need to block book refpilates
• also bought yet another product to finish the bed I am never happy with - the never fully restored bed. I am surprised it is not sawdust the number of times it has been stripped, sanded and redone. I can however do that very quickly now. (Every cloud and all that). I am hoping latest product will just give a slight polished sheen to the raw wood.
• one tricky meeting this afternoon and I am all done for the day
• Will buy paint over the weekend and maybe make a start on that tomorrow
• Off to brave a walk with SpiritDoggo then it’s fish and chips for tea!

Go to your phone settings, email and check what is on/off. Have you blocked recently or changed security? Also, ask AI. It has helped me figure my phone out recently.

Just finishing brunch and rushing to get dressed (slept in) and get my mum to her hospital appt then will take Havoc to vaccine appt.

Made whole wheat pancakes with slivered almonds and choc chips inside and made my (hot) latte using chocolate milk!!!!!!! 😋

Single, veggie tray bake and soup sound quite nice. I think I'd like a jasmine rice with that... 🤔

Petal, did you have your pizza & wine? I sometimes miss wine, thought about buying it last week and chatted with another mum who has pretty much been off alcohol since pregnancy like me and she was telling me that she was dying the next day after a few glasses at Thanksgiving dinner. Kind of reconfirmed my resolve. 😂😂😂

Took my mum to her hospital appt then we went to Havoc's vaccine appt. Havoc was unconsolable about it which continued on at home with some tantrumming behaviour. So, Tylenol and a cold pack was given and sent off to bed. Is asleep now.
Baby's fever hasn't returned after this morning's meds wore off this afternoon and was hungry when we got home.

Have just finished another latte with choc milk - a mocha, I guess. 🤔
My mum amd I are watching a doc series about US president Kennedy. It is very interesting.

Gorgeous day here and it's a shame we haven't been out enjoying it. Many rainy days will be here soon.

Hello lovelies! Hope people with colds are not feeling too bad!?

bit of a drift day today, normally we have two back to back kung fu classes for the kids to get us going but DD is having leg problems and needs to take a break. I need to persuade DS to go to his anyway! It's amazing how much they want to skip activities they insist I keep paying for 😡

had an unexpected rush of work yesterday so did not get any laundry done. Better do it today as DH is becoming mildly sarcastic.

Really horrible cold and rainy day here. I’m sitting in the station car park waiting for DD and her boyfriend to catch a train to a wedding reception. Don’t want to set off until the train has gone as the line is blocked further up with a fallen tree. DS is at home
cooking dinner for us both. I fully intend to spend my evening on the sofa in front of the log burner watching strictly.
