I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my conservatory spot, after a nice lie in with boy cat. I've put the washer on already, and had a quick tidy round...plus rescued boy cat's ball from under the sofa 🙄.

Dd2's awake but not been down yet. We're meant to be nipping into town today to buy her a new duvet. She didn't sound overly thrilled when I reminded her last night so when she eventually surfaces I'll offer to nip in one afternoon after work instead & get one for both girls.

If we don't end up going, I have some violas to pop in an unused pot in the garden, and want to jigsaw the last bits of weed membrane around a couple of shrubs. The bindweed seems to have backed off nicely already though, it doesn't seem to be trying to grow up the wall or where there are gaps 🥳. I also want to try and turn 3 same size ish branches into a tripod to dangle a cauldron from for Halloween...I can't work out how to make it bubble, or smoke, though. I thought maybe battery tea lights & something to blow about in the top of it but haven't quite thought it through properly 🤔.

Once those bits are done, I'm up to assembling my crochet project so will carry on with that - maybe I can get it done & gone by Monday!!

No idea what tea will be yet but it'll be showers & read this evening, before getting snuggled up with boy cat again 😊.

What about all of you? 🙂

Morning all. I’m having a quiet day, after walking the elderly dogs this morning. Need to get to grips with putting some tech on Vinted, and a bit of house admin. DH is away visiting an old pal for a few days, so my time is my own. Currently sat in the garden with a coffee making plans for new garden beds, pergola etc. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning @lucysmam. Or good afternoon.
Got back from a short break last night so having a lazy morning. Going to have a shower then a trip to B&Q to look at timber (whoop whoop).
Debating whether to hang the washing out or go straight to tumble drier. Big clouds out there.
Dinner will be leftovers from last nights takeaway.
Then I’m going to look at knitting patterns and decide on my next project.

We went for a walk and had a pub lunch. A gorgeous day here.

Good afternoon lucysmam and others. I have been out for breakfast with pals. That, and a long chat mean I'm just home. The bedding is in the washing machine, the dishwasher is emptied and loaded and I'm relaxing before cleaning windows(possibly). Dinner will be chicken sausages with something. Have a good day

Afternoon all, some lovely plans mentioned ✨ DD3 woke us all up at 7 (it’s getting better 🤣) but we all had a chilled morning catching up on traitors and deep cleaning downstairs. I’m now at DD11s dance rehearsals (3 hours) as she has a show at the big local theatre tomorrow, so very proud of her, this dance school has completely changed her. My timid, cautious big girl has found her tribe and lives for dancing now 😊. I’ve bought a bottle of wine at Lidl (went in for the formil pods, best washing formula imo) so will have a couple of glasses with DP when home and then I’m out for an early dinner with my friends. I’ve been seriously ill this year with a demyelinating attack so feeling very grateful for these normal, calm weekends 🙌🏻

Hello all,

Hope you've had a good day. I spent most of it out, setting up for the half term holiday camp thas it starting on Monday. I've still got one more week working at school, so will join them the week after. Was doing that from 10:15 to about 2:45, then went over to the garden centre to pick out this years new tree ornament (something I do every year), before it all gets super picked over. Especially as I don't know when I'll next be over that side of town, with time to have a proper leisurely look around. Wanted something a bit different than the usual bauble, so ended up with a fake-crystal polar bear. Only small, and quite pretty. It should catch the lights on the tree nicely.
From there, I went to do the food shopping at Tesco. It's the wrong side of town these days, for me to go regularly. But they do have some things I prefer, that I can't get at the smallish Asda that's my nearest supermarket. Came away with the usual shop, and 6 packets of their cheesy potato croquettes, and 4 crustless quiches for the freezer.
Will have a long soak in the bath this evening, with a book, and probably an early-ish night.
