How was your first day at your new job? Was it as good as the new White House Press Secretary?

Katie Zacharia's firsthttps://www.youtube.com/live/g7we6gecwnc?si=m92evZxqmBkR0Cf3&t=508 day as Press Secretary in the White House

Interesting hire - she claims to be a lawyer but not registered at the Bar in any US State

Former political commentator on Fox News

So it's her first briefing. I've done a link which starts after 8 minutes of her talking about what Trump has done.

It's not a good start to her first day

Just 3 questions

An easy one from Breitbart
She didn't know the second one so she said she would get back to them
An easy one on family life where she called her husband The President

And that's it

I think the press are going to have a field day with her.
She's no CJ

At least my first day wasn't in the public eye. I just sat at a desk

Well she looks the part. Beautiful, blonde and leggy - 90% of the person spec. for the job (any job), as far as Trump’s concerned!

Edited

Rod Stewart had those criteria on his tick list of wives/girlfriends for 60 yrs. Pretty much the norm for certain men.

I do not recognise @cakeorwine. But based on this one thread, I really like her.

I’m also bad at forgetting full stops but you can count on me for a well placed apostrophe. 😂

I used to be a teacher. Everything looks okay punctuation wise. You've even started a sentence with a But

I used to play a game with my class. They were in pairs.

Someone said the first part of a sentence. Their partner had to make up the rest.

Person One: "I was going to go shopping "
Person Two: "But I looked outside, saw it was raining and couldn't be arsed!"

We did the same with using different words for said.

Person One: "What are you doing out of bed? Get back to bed immediately!"
Person Two "yelled Mum"

The class had some vivid imagination - and they had to yelll / whisper / shreak / cry etc

I do miss that part of teaching.

I have so many questions to ask about threads where the OP never came back

I am tempted to look through the threads I've been on to see if the OP ever returned.

I think I was on one where the OP was concerned about a long drive back from France. That would have been a simple one to update

This is an interesting diversion BTW. I've never been accused of being a bot before. Do bots have feelings?

If I am a bot, what's my agenda?

Do bots have an agenda?

In fact, this could be a whole new thread. How would you program a bot to blend in with MN so no one guesses it's a bot? I guess it would have to show an interest in baby names and cooking?

Ooh, invested. I was once accused of being a man on a thread. (I iz a woman.) What can you do?

My very well educated adult children started leaving out full stops some time ago
It really rankled with me at first but I’ve got used to it now
If you can’t beat them, join them 🤪

@cakeorwine Forgive me for saying so, but your posting style looks just like a bot.

How was your first day at your new job? Was it as good as the new White House Press Secretary?

Today, Katie Zacharia delivered a commanding as the 37th White House Press Secretary. The briefing, which generated wall-to-wall coverage, served as a strong introduction to her tenure and highlighted the Trump Administration’s record of delivering historic successes for the American people.

Are they taking the piss?

I feel a bit sorry for her as people will inevitably judge her harshly (a) for being a woman and (b) for being conventionally beautiful therefore must be ‘dumb’.

I’m pretty sure most people make mistakes in their first few weeks in the job but she’ll need to get up to speed pretty quickly.

No, they will judge her for working for (1) Fox, and (2) the current incumbent.

Pedallleur · Today 07:05

The Press are going to hunt those credentials down or someone will say she hasn't passed the Bar exam. Only a matter of time. I'll presume there is a piece of paper somewhere saying she has.

And the conspiracy theories she has deleted.

This thread turned out to be far more amusing than I’d expected. I’m now trying to imagine an internet “populated” by bots trained on Cabin Pressure. TBH a White House thus staffed would be an improvement.
