I might faint 😳

A man called Aaron Duffy posted a disgusting video of him bullying a young person (looked male?) because of their pink hair and the clothes he wore. Lots of comments sticking up for the young person.

There must have been a few complaints as Facebook have just come back saying it's removed. How he isn't banned is beyond me?

I mainly use Facebook for groups I organise. No idea why this video showed up? But it's got like that now. Random shit.

Anyway glad for the young person that it's gone. Oh and this Aaron posts religious stuff. Apparently he's a Christian? That's what some comments said? I've blocked him from showing on my feed.

Do you mean disagree with the response from FB? There was no option to do that.

There is an option at the bottom. I've attached pictures, but they may take time to upload!

Apologies, I meant to add these ones too.

This is what I got back after requesting another review on a different post.

I deactivated my FB account last week. Best thing I've done this year. It's pure poison on there now, and not what I signed up to all those years ago.

Unfortunately there just wasn't the option to request another review. I'm not sure why, because I've definitely seen it before.

I did screenshot some comments and repost on the pages, so people could see what nasty comments their friends and neighbours were making about people in our community. People just ignored it. If other more well-known people tried to call these comments out, people just fired back justifying the comments because Council are the bad guys, and if you're in a public role you should expect some pushback.

I actually feared that one of the local angry men might come to my house for a confrontation, since he lives down the road. I was genuinely frightened. And yet, no way to stop threatening public comments.

I've withdrawn from all local FB pages. I don't "react" to my children's school and club pages, although unfortunately I have to follow them.

My husband doesn't do social media, although he is informed of the local chatter through his job. He manages to brush it off as doesn't read directly. His colleagues who do read it find it very upsetting. It's one thing to complain about something a council is doing. It's quite another to say named individuals "need a bullet", "need eliminating" etc.

People see this sort of language used online and it becomes normalized and more frequent, and it becomes more difficult to discern who is just blowing off steam and who might actually carry out a dangerous act.

Years ago there were two young people who were murdered on a beach in Thailand, and someone was sharing a video of their bodies still on the beach. I reported it and originally fb said it didn't breach any of their rules, but then they took it down. I can still picture the couple and really felt for any family or friends who might have seen it

Don't get me started on the f-ing nicknames! They post dreadful stuff and are incognito.

I reported some awful, fat shaming comments on Mumsnet just last night and got an email back from MNHQ saying that fat shaming is not against the talk guidelines! Nearly dropped my phone

I got barred once for ‘sarcasm’ as it breached the talk guidelines 🤷🏻‍♀️

MN used to be very on top of awful posts, the approach here seems to have changed significantly and I can’t understand why.

I've reported some recently that have been removed.
