All cats, from the domestic to the largest wild predator, have the same body plan and the same behaviours, though cheetahs have a bit of modification. Anyone who has tried to get in the way of their pet when intent on the hunt will know this. And the moggies can inflict serious harm if they're in the mood. Though not to kill.
But saying tigers are not domestic cats is silly. They are gigantic versions, and if everyone is taught to respect their pet's nature, then maybe there will be fewer idiotic events.
Aspinall used to wrestle with his tigers at Howletts, apparently safely, but still one of his staff was killed. I don't know what triggered it or what happened to the tiger.
