Can you explain how you have concluded that Israel is committing genocide, or are you relying on opinions from SM?
Have you researched the legal definition of genocide, particularly the requirement to establish specific intent to destroy a protected group, in whole or in part?
Have you studied independent military analyses of how the IDF conducted the war, Israel’s stated military objectives, Hamas’s stated aims and conduct, its use of tunnels and civilian infrastructure and public statement that it 'needs the blood of Palestinians to fire the resistance'? Have you considered how these factors affect the assessment of individual attacks, civilian casualties, proportionality and military necessity?
Have you also examined evidence that challenges the genocide allegation? For example, warnings to evacuate, humanitarian corridors, facilitation of food, shelter, medical supplies, water, power and fuel, ceasing operations for vaccination programs and other humanitarian purposes, medical evacuations etc.
What scrutiny have you applied to the impartiality and methodology of the UN bodies and NGOs whose reports you rely on? Have you investigated their funding, affiliations, access to Gaza, source verification and treatment of contradictory evidence? There have been serious controversies over the impartiality of UN officials, including Francesca Albanese; how do you account for those concerns?
Have you investigated the cancellation of the agreed ICC 'on the ground' fact-finding mission in Gaza on the SAME day ICC staff were due to arrive in Israel?
Have you looked into who funds pro-Palestinian NGOs operating in Israel, what those organisations do, and whether their funding affects the reliability of their specific findings?
Does your conclusion comes from weighing the full evidence, including evidence that challenges your view, and applying the legal test yourself, or whether you have accepted a conclusion because SM said so?
If I hadn't done the above, I wouldn't be so embarrassingly ignorant as to hold an opinion but I have, so mine is the opposite of yours.
