If you had a million pounds, would you carry on working?

I know a lot of people will reply they love their jobs and would no matter how much money they have but if I’m honest I don’t enjoy mine at all (teaching, if that’s relevant!)

Interested to know.

I’d keep working, but I’d work for myself. I wouldn’t stay in my current job

No I’d give up, especially in my current job
id like to spend a majority of it on travelling and I’m only entitled to just under 6 weeks Annual leave a year so good bye work, my husband could carry on working especially if it was me who got the money!

Children are very young and we haven’t yet reached a stage where they are enjoyable. Well, that’s perhaps not accurate - there are lovely moments but the holidays are very much about the children and what they can cope with and find enjoyable. I know that Instagram is filled with toddlers on sophisticated adult type holidays but the thought of managing two kids on a plane and jet lag and heat and food they aren’t used to just doesn’t give me enjoyable vibes!

Right makes sense. I have always travelled with mine and they are used to it so I feel different about it.

If I suddenly won a million pounds (as that’s the only way I’d have that sort of money!), I’d buy my house and save the rest. I’d still work though, and save like mad. Maybe I’d cut down to 30hrs a week, rather than FT.
