To one they pay for?

Is this a scam?

Once they warn you, you are on a timeline (quite a long one) but at some point your email address will just stop working and you will lose access to everything if you haven't sorted it out by then.

Set up a free gmail account and move everything over to that.

Thank you. Yes, I've already begun the process.

How do you move all your emails over? I have literally dozens and dozens.

You have to access the email server through a proper client - not the webby shite front end most people use.

Doubtless if you are paying for the new service, they should migrate emails for you. However (see upthread) there is every danger they could lose your data forever.

We already have emails downloaded to a desktop via outlook so we can see what has previously come in and I don’t need to access the actual server now.

Years since I ran Outlook ... does it still let you connect to IMAP or POP3 ? My recollection was it could be sniffy about non exchange servers.

I honestly can’t remember and I’m not anywhere near it to check. I’ll have a look later although my general working practice is that if it doesn’t work one way, try the other!
