I know it’s not properly cold yet but I’m full of a cold and need something comforting. Is it too soon?

I'm still sleeping with a fan on. I'd mawk in a heated throw at the moment. Cheers peri for reduced heating bills this year.

Electric blanket is on for me going to bed most nights here.

KittyKokum · 26/09/2026 00:15

I've never used an electric blanket but I do love a hot water bottle.
I haven't used it yet, but the DCS were saying they were cold so I cracked open the carefully stowed duvets, also the oodies, everybody happy! Summer went by way too quickly this year.

Regional differences in weather are fascinating. Summer here in London was long and very hot. It started n mid May and hasn't really let up. It was 25 degrees and as humid as hell yeaterday.

Today I am cleanining thw house in shorts and a t shirt with all the windows and doors flung open.

I’m in NE Scotland and I don’t think we saw above 22 degrees the whole summer - and that was a “cor blimey what a scorcher” occurrence! We had the heating on for a bit last night and I unpacked my knitwear from storage this week.

No. But a woollen blanket for bed.

JustPlainStanfreyPock · 26/09/2026 11:07

Put the electric blanket back on the bed last weekend, it's getting chilly at night here in Central Scotland!

But lovely autumn weather now, beautiful clear light and leaves changing colour already 🍂

I dont have an electric blanket or heated throw. I hate being too hot. Windows are open all year round here. I love the feeling of fresh, clean, cool air.

Heated throw has now come into its own. So cosy!

Whereabouts are you?? I’m guessing not south east

Sorry, bit late for this response but I do actually live in the SE! If you’re pondering whereabouts because you want to raid my house for an electric blanket then shoo, go away 😂

PruLeithsNecklace · 11/10/2026 21:08

Got mine out yesterday, so cozy!

PassiveFloriana · 11/10/2026 21:31
