Just a random really because its been that way for years and its not going to change.

Year 6 secondary visits start at 9.15 I have another child to take to school and I wont make it in time for 9.15 I don't drive. Its often hard to get ubers in the mornings. I don't have anyone to take the other child.

I guess it has to be at that time to fit into the school day better.

Not.looking for a solution. Theres not one. just a morning moan.

She fixed it fine herself, it just cost £18. For me that's less than a quarter of a tank of petrol. You don't need to justify yourself OP.

Yeah i know. It does bug me a little that so many people think everyone drives.. it also bugs me when so many people think everyone drinks. I know thats of track but I wanted to say it. 😅

Assuming you can’t arrange a taxi or share a lift across with anyone else who’s also going - I think I’d prioritise the open day and take both / all kids to that and explain to the primary that’s why they were out.

Agree with this.

ETA - I can see the issue has now been resolved!

Do you mean like an “open day” or is this a transition day for the kids??
At our primary school they put a bus/mini bus in for transition days and it picks up and drops off at their current primary school

Why would people be thinking this is a transition day?
You don't get allocated your school place until next March.
People won't even have applied yet.
