3D printer for nearly 10 year old?

My son has asked for a 3D printer for Christmas. He went to a 3D printer club for 6 weeks and loved it. Any recommendations for beginners? Are they suitable for 10 year olds?

We have a creality, I think it was about £2000,00 it's incredibly complex. I don't know if there are ones aimed at kids, might be worth asking the club he went to

My son was 12 when he got his, so a bit older, but we got him a Bambu Lab A1 and it's been great. They have a huge catalogue of free printables, and he's found it easy to use. uk.store.bambulab.com/products/a1

We have Bambulab too. Definitely suitable for 10 year old. Cost around £800.

Anything Bambu Labs would suit. Have a look at the X2D or P2S. Not crazy money and whilst there is a big learning curve, Bambu Labs do a free Academy course for your particular printer so you can learn as you go. There are great Wikis for any time you get stuck also. If it is something you think he’ll stick with, you might as well go straight to a H2C/H2D because I’ll warn you now, you can never have enough printers!

Awesome hobby though and teaches you all sorts of skills, including CAD modelling.

Keep an eye out on Bambu sales as you can jump on a good deal when they have sales.

Flashforge AD5X is a good starter printer and not expensive.
