That back to school feeling even though you are long out of school and do you buy anything new just because it’s September?

Some teens were browsing today for back to work stationery in The Works and it made me think of my back to school shopping trip where buying new stationery and a new bag, if needed, were the highlights of the trip.

As we move closer to September do you buy yourself little things, like a new pen?

I’m a massive stationery fan and I LOVE all the back to school stuff that is out as does my dd10
i remember when I was younger my Mum taking me and my sister to WHSmiths to get things for the new term and one of the most exciting things I got was pads of a4 ruled paper to go in a binder but this was all pastel shades. My sister and I were so excited by this and the Forever Friends and Country Companions ranges. We loved them!

Not a new pen, but that's not a bad idea. I usually get something new to wear for the differant seasons.

I liked the pastel lined paper too. And doing my schoolwork in various coloured pencils, until I overheard a girl say I was a show off. I liked writing stories, and poems. And I loved art class. I was 10 yrs old, and I recieved an "Author" and an "Artist badge before summer break.
They didn’t. So there!

I have just ordered a new sandwich box for myself. On offer for kids going back to school!

we’re on holiday and last night dh and I were discussing how much we love September. We refer to it as the Q4 reset in our house. And definitely need a new notebook

September always feels like a new start to me, don't buy things but do make annual plans starting in September.

I consider September the beginning of a new year rather than January. I love September! Can go on holiday again as the kids are back at school!
