You generally can’t get cover if you are going through diagnostic tests for that condition, they will be excluded as they are a known risk. Talk to people like staysure or insure with, using your nhs app go through diagnosed conditions and anything you have sought advice about from your gp in the last 2-5 years (check length of time with provider) and and testing you have had or are waiting for. Full disclosure is essential for cover but no need to mention anything you haven’t seen a doctor about.

I’ve always got cover without an issue but I’ve got continuous insurance, different to a single policy

I don’t think you will find any travel insurance that will cover you for undiagnosed conditions. Insurers won’t cover undiagnosed conditions as they can’t screen you correctly. So they can’t assess the risk / premium

Insurance companies do have different rules. IME they just refuse cover for anything related to a possible condition for which you are awaiting tests.
The way it works, again IME, is that you must declare everything that is in your GP record that is active or was active in the last 3 years, some companies want 5 years.
If you make any kind of health related claim, the first thing they will do is scrutinise your gp record.
If you have undiagnosed problems that are not in your records or not being investigated I wouldn't mention them. Once you have told your gp you have to declare them
I suggest you check your gp record very carefully as there are frequently mistakes.
I am with Aviva and I have heard good things about Staysure.

It may be worth speaking to your GP about the ongoing investigations, and also contacting a specialist travel insurer to check exactly what cover they can offer while your condition is still undiagnosed.

Nobody will cover you for undiagnosed stuff, some won’t cover you at all if waiting for a diagnosis

I’m still awaiting an angiogram so have declared it. I have just got 5 weeks cover for and it was £86, DH with zero issues was £40. My friend paid £100 for 5 days in France. I went with Staysure. @endofthelinefinally they wanted 2 years of records.

I was recommended Allclear. Awaiting tests for heart palpitations. £285 for 3 weeks Canada/US.

DH is a broker and I do administration for him at times.

You will struggle and will probably have a hefty premium with an undiagnosed condition when you are going through tests. It will also depend on which type of illness is being tested for. Heart conditions are hard to cover but not impossible. A sore leg is much easier etc. Recently my DF got cover while waiting for a stent procedure and it was under £200

You will not be covered for anything that crops up to do with that condition though, so only you can decide if it is sensible to travel at the moment.

You will need to state everything thats on your GP/hospital records for at least the last 5 years.

I cant get cover with DH company due to chronic autoimmune conditions. My annual cover is £700 for Europe only, it was about £30 less for a weekly policy.
