Things to do in Blackpool?

What can me and dd15 do in Blackpool? Taking into account i don't drive. Want it walking distance if possible. We are staying Blackpool north area. We are there for the weekend/3 nights. I have booked viva. Hoping to find something fun. Not the amusement park though.

Also viva allows us to pre order food and drink . But it seems like its only alcohol and food we can't pre order soft drinks. I'm not sure if I'm just missing it or if thats actually right. Does anyone happen to know?:

I’m just back and done the pleasure beach, tower, madam tussauds, zoo and sandcastle. Sandcastle was a nightmare far too busy. The zoo was brilliant I haven’t been to it since I was a child and really enjoyed it. There’s tickets online that get you into all of the above attractions (not including the zoo) plus the dungeons but I was too scared to go to them 😂

Forgot to mention the circus that’s also included in the ticket really enjoyed that as well. It hadn’t changed much since I last went 3 years ago but it was still good. I think the ticket is £55 for pleasure beach, tower eye, circus, tussauds, dungeons and sandcastle. You get into the hot ice show for free in the afternoon showing at the pleasure beach. There’s also a cheaper ticket if you don’t want the pleasure beach included.

@Carouseloflife what is hot ice like? I was just looking at the circus but now I'm not sure. Is thete a story line to hot ice?

Hot ice is an ice show with ex Olympic and championship skaters putting on a show, I think there’s a theme.

Love Blackpool! Ride the tram, go on the ferris wheel on the pier, and don't forget to check what shows are on at the Winter Gardens.

We went to the dungeons years ago and loved it. It was scary in parts but funny and really entertaining. I've spent many a happy time in Blackpool. I'm a lot older now so prefer the more sedate Lytham.😁

Get the bus into Lytham st Anne's if you fancy a day else where.
Go up the tower walk the pier, been awhile since I've been and we went to funny girls at night so not really helpful

We normally sit in the blue zone as that’s where they ‘present’ but every seat is a good view.

My favourite thing in Blackpool is to walk along the prom and watch doughnuts being made - I like simple pleasures!

Blackpool? The first thing to do is get a tetanus.

Haha I was going to say leave…

The zoo is horrible. The seagulls dive bomb everyone eating lunch and the animals are in small enclosures and aren’t very well looked after. The Gruffalo world was good but then we stepped outside.

My parents have been for a couple of nights last week and had a great time at the zoo and the model village.

Yep these. I’m from Blackpool and used to love them. And they’re right by Stanley Park which was always a nice park when I was growing up.

Wot2do22 · 03/08/2026 14:33

I have a couple if things booked now. Viva and hot ice.

What is there for night time, that can make us up till about 11pm ? Friday evening is sorted. Saturday night i think we just need something to do for an hour or 2. Sunday night we need something to do . For the whole evening.

Viva as in the show bar? You can wave your table number and the staff will come to you to take your order. We were there last night it’s a lovely place.
