If you’re over 40 what hobbies do you do?
l’m bored, single and need a little more in life than I have.
Any ideas?

There are endless amounts of hobbies. What do you want to do? Sparks an ounce of interest in you? What did you used to like doing before you started work (at school/college/university?) Have you watched something and thought that looks interesting? In which case have a go. There are so many groups and organisations that will do a taster session.
Fwiw my hobbies include and are not limited to-
Pilates, yoga, swimming, running, gym, walking, bell ringing, playing several instruments and choir, line dancing, salsa classes, book club, wire work and willow weaving, dry felting flat and 3d, knitting, crochet, sewing, diamond art, puzzles, pyrography, Tiffany glass, fused glass and all types of jewellery making.
I also volunteer and do some adult education courses.

Inside the house or out?

I make book nooks at the moment... (models about the size of 2 harback books, that slot into a bookcase between books and look nice)

have done a couple of ROKR/rolife type and a lego Baker Street/Shelock Holmes one which was very enjoyable

I also make beaded xmas decorations and am cross stitching an advent calendar.

@Namenamchange Then I would suggest maybe having a look at what’s going on in your area - google Facebook, have a look at village hall websites and notice boards for example. Go and try one thing - always remember just because you go once DOES NOT mean you have to keep going!!! It’s your leisure time and you can decide if you hate or like it enough to have another go. If you hate it - don’t go, but try something else instead - I didn’t get on with netball and I managed to knock myself out, so I stopped and took up pickleball and badminton instead.
Absolutely no shame in trying something and discovering it’s not for you. It even helps, because it points you in other directions and makes you think well, what would I like!
If you don’t try, you will never know if you like it or not, and absolutely nothing will change from your current position. So you have nothing to lose.

Sport? I used to compete in triathlons. It was brilliant fun. I can’t do it now (chronic illness). I go to an art class now.

Sport? - local netball team, running, walking, watersports
Volunteer at anything that interests you.
Its impossible to suggest really without knowing what you are interested in, what your skills are.
What are you interested in?? What are you good at?

Would go to your local library. They often have a notice board (notice wall at ours).

Loads of "join us for..." netball, pickleball, badminton, yoga, painting, gardening for local elderly, walking groups, running groups, book groups.

Look online for board game nights, painting nights ... our local (Greene King?) pub has quizzes, kareoke, craft groups, knit and natter with coffee and cake.

There's a local fix it group , meets twice a month in the village hall , that you can volunteer a skill at, if you have one (I set up phone stuff for people, and take my craft tools along to help fix jewellery).
It is just knowing where to find your people... try everything and anything.
