I have a heavy sensation. No droopy eyes. Had it done a week ago .. and I am REALLY regretting it.

Will the heavy sensation improve ?

I'm actually having a panic attack over it right now. Proper panic attack

I also had my Botox a week ago, although not the first time. Yes it can make your forehead feel a bit heavy or tight.
Are you going for a two week top up? I would call your practitioner if you’re really worried.

I absolutely hated that heavy feeling and it bothered me so much, I had a permanent headache. I was so relieved when it wore off. 3 years later and I’m considering trying it again…..

That doesn't last. You can just kinda 'feel it kicking in' It will be gone soon.

@Springbuck did the heavy feeing wear off for you ? and if so, hws long did it take ?

I have been pacing around the house for hours today, having panic attacks and wanting to rip the botox out of my forehead. its been horrific def not having a 2 week top up and I will not be going back again for any more

spoke to the practitioner who has assured me this is normal. I currently feel very abnormal

Op I have health anxiety and know the feeling can you take some pain relief and maybe pop on a podcast, the disordered one is great, try and focus outside of that immediate area and maybe run a bath or can you go to bed and try and sleep. Take reassurance that the feeling is temporary and will wear off and it never has to happen again.

It’s normal. It’s a claustrophobic feeling because you suddenly can’t move your frown lines. It made me feel a bit panicky the first time. Should go very quickly

IAmARayOfSunshine · 03/08/2026 03:37

The first time I had Botox I felt this but having had it several times it’s not something I notice anymore.

rivalsbinge · 03/08/2026 21:21

How are you today OP? Any better.

Elongated09 · 04/08/2026 11:36

I was fine yesterday, but Feeling a little panicky again today. Different type of sensation today, which I still don't like. Worrying again. Tbh, I can't wait for the botox to dissolve in 3 months. What a total waste of my money

This is why I’m saving for a facelift and bleph as I don’t think I’d cope with the altered sensation of Botox. I have friends who have Botox and they seem to go regularly as it wears off so hopefully yours will start to wear off and feel better 💐

Snackccident · 04/08/2026 11:39

I had similar but I also have hooded eyes and it made them so much worse. I looked half asleep 😂

The feeling will go op, hang in there. It almost feels like a tension headache or sinus pressure. Just breathe, remember you're safe, and it will most likely wear off in 6 weeks rather than 3 months x

Elongated09 · 04/08/2026 14:19

This afternoon I have what feels like mild sinus pain at the side of my head,/across the front of my forehead, where the botox was done.

I regret this so much

It's all very normal. The botox paralyses the muscle so it will feel heavy because your facial expressions won't be able to move it like you're used to... sorry you're panicking! Think some research before going ahead might have helped you but hopefully assurance from others and your practitioner will help, too.
