Anyone had a tummy tuck with Nordesthetics in Lithuania?

I'm considering going to Nordesthetics in Lithuania for a tummy tuck.

I've always been stupidly self conscious about my body although I look back on old pictures of myself and want to slap the old me for thinking I was fat.

In any case, I put on a lot of weight after my 4th child but I've lost nearly 5 stone over the last 2 years and I feel SO much better about myself

But I want to get rid of the wrinkly flabby apron I'm left with.

Has anyone else done this? What was it like? Particularly interested to hear from people who have been to nordesthetics!

A friend was investigating going to Lithuania for the same procedure but ended up opting to go somewhere in Manchester as it was “only” £2k more expensive and she felt more comfortable having it done in the uk. She’s booked for October.

Yes I did 2 years ago. Had a mummy makeover. It has changed my life. I feel amazing now. But the recovery was brutal and it was 3 months before I felt remotely normal. I went on my own and stayed 10 days. I should have taken someone with me as I really struggled mentally which I did not expect!! However 2 years down the line I am over the moon. There is a good facebook group so join that and you will see lots of others experience x

I had a TT and arm lift Lithuanian in October, I don’t go with nords as the prices were so high with them, do research different surgeons and clinics. I am currently out here again now having another procedure with a different clinic

Please make a post when you get back. I’m researching plastic surgery at the moment and it would be so helpful to me and others, especially as Lithuania is becoming more known.

Im having a facelift with Nords later on in the year as my sister lives in Lithuania and its my face so Im not going for the cheaper options. I'm a medical person and researched the clinic very well. There is a big online community with people showing results and experiences. Tik Tok, facebook and Nords have their own whatsapp group.

Thank you for sharing.

I might see if my friend can come with me.
Did you have to have a lot of time off work to recover?

Would you mind sharing the clinic you used?

It was with Dr Karalis at Gijos Klinkos, I can’t fault him or the clinic, my current procedure was done by Dr Ernest at Isense, Dr Ernest was amazing, really caring and listened very well to what I wanted but the clinic and other staff wasn’t as nice as Gijos, I’d recommend them both but Karalis is more a body surgeon

I’ve been really considering this. What is the worst about it x

Someone described it as a controlled shark bite out of your torso 😂😂 which it basically is 😂
I had 5 litres of liposuction and a 3 way muscle repair, down the middle and obliques. I struggled to fend for myself, it was bloody painful and when you get home you do worry about complications and will the nhs treat you. That is the downside for sure. However you feel better every day and my life has really changed in terms of my chronic back pain which has pretty much gone now. The way I dress is completely different too which sounds silly but was always covered up before as so self conscious. My surgeon was Mantas Kievisas, if you look at his instagram my pics are on there, April 19th this year 😊

I would see if you could have someone with you for when you come out of the actual hospital to your apartment which is normally 2 days after surgery. That’s when I found it the hardest. Work wise it really depends on whether you have a physical job or not, the swelling is crazy afterwards especially if you are on your feet a lot. But also we all recover differently, aome a lot quicker than others, I was 51 when I had it done, the younger ones there were out shopping a few days later which was crazy to me 😂😂😂

Yeah I'm definitely going to see if someone can come with me. Maybe we can go a bit early and do some sightseeing first so it's a bit of a holiday before I'm less able to do stuff for a bit.

My job isn't too physical although there is some walking around.

I had one in the UK in my late 40s, and was a total gym bunny beforehand. The things that surprised me that I couldn’t do for a long time afterward were:

  • going up the stairs easily—I couldn’t do one step after the other; it was one foot on a step, then the second foot on that step before I could move up
  • getting out of bed by myself
  • getting onto bed by myself and getting my cushions to prop my back up and underneath my knees
  • washing my own hair
  • anything to do with laundry—loading the clothes in, opening the tumble dryer door, carrying a basket of clothes, etc
You use your core for pretty much every single activity all day long, and having major surgery on it is very debilitating. No way would I have been in a position to navigate airport queues, boarding a plane, getting into my seat, etc immediately after. Even the pressure on the plane when it brakes whilst landing would have been way too much.
