Didn’t witness it. Was a bloody part of it!!!

I was in a house with a strange set up as it had an apartment directly under us.

One morning, we could hear noises, and wandered into the spare bedroom where we had police coming through the window looking for the neighbour!

We had just finished having nookie too, so both of us had to rush and get some clothes on, and explain they had the wrong house.

The neighbour wasn’t even home, but damn we got a lot of side eyes from the other neighbours thinking they were after us

Say if you were having private time when they stormed in!

Would be even better if you were the person sawing the door in

Wow that must of been scary? Guessing they smashed the window then

Luckily no. It was summer so the window was cracked, and they just pushed it open. They had a ladder against the wall and everything

KimWexlersPonyTail · 31/07/2026 19:23

Yes my house. We were in bed, they smashed the front door in. Charged upstairs, pulled XH out of bed and dragged him downstairs, I was pushed down the stairs.

They dragged him to the van with me holding on to one of his legs and screaming that we had no idea what was going on. They started the arrest guff and we realised they needed the house around the corner! They dropped XH on the pavement and drove off...luckily they were not armed but there was about 10 of them. It was horrific.

They dropped and left him?!!

I hope you sued!

Yeah we had one (wrong address) it was terrifying its not how you want to be woken up its very loud and very fast

Soubriquet · 31/07/2026 19:42

They were after the neighbour. I still remember his name (won’t say it).

I think he was dealing drugs, stealing from
shops and had a history of violence

Yes, lunchtime on a suburban cul de sac, about 12 officers in 2 vans with drugs dogs and one of the big massive red things to ram the door down. They pulled up the drain cover to trap anything the residents tried to flush. Once the shouting and commotion had died down, they were there for about 2 hours, presumably searching.

Occupants charged with possession of Class A with intent to supply, case went to court and fell apart as they each blamed each other.

Was the final straw and our house went on the market shortly after.

At medical school we all had to go and interview a patient at home. Mine was miles away and difficult to get to on public transport. On the long walk from the station I walked past several burnt out cars which kind of set the scene.

Went to patient's house, he was lovely. Interview was halted when police turned up to arrest everyone in the house opposite.

Patient wasn't fazed, said it happened regularly.

I did actually, my neighbours got raided in a dawn raid and I was out taking the dog for a wee. Police everywhere and I was asked to go back inside

I'm sorry, what exactly are you asking this poster?!

Captainbird · 31/07/2026 19:54

Yes I was sitting in a kebab shop having being dumped by my boyfriend . Just staring out of the window tucking into my donner when 10 armed police jumped out of a van and knocked the door of the flat above the takeaway down. They arrested 3 people on drug offences and immigration enforcement also showed up. At that point all the staff from the kebab shop disappeared. I sat in the shop till the police disappeared them opened the back door and let the staff know that they could come back to work.

itsgettingweird · 31/07/2026 19:55

I was walking around city at 5am with a load of other swim parents (as you do!)

Walked down a road about 5.30am and there was a few police in inform, few plain clothes and they were holding a red battering ram.

From the aroma usually coming from that area I’d assume they were about to do a drugs raid?!

Twice, one as I lived just beside a guy who threw a fireworks with coins into an MPs office and there was a raid and the bomb squad there for most of the day.
the other was just a drug raid
