Anyone’s kids ever had ringworm?
Pic is DD20 months. Not itchy, everyone else in the house is ok!
(Obv have contacted GP) but thought would get opinions on here whilst I wait!

I actually had ringworm when I was 6 years old. I caught it from hugging my cat who also had it. The vet gave my cat some medicine (might have been cream?) and I think the GP prescribed a sort of cream or something for me too. It didn't take too long to clear up, and should be nothing to worry about, so I hope your toddler gets better soon :)

My DD had a similar patch on her cheek at about age 6, I treated with some Canesten cream i had lying about. I did take her to the GP who said to just continue anti fungal treatment and it soon cleared up.

You could try at the chemist and speak to the pharmacist who might be able to recommend something whilst waiting for the doctor. When my son had this (though he was older) we got an anti fungal cream from chemist that was advertised for athletes foot (on recommendation from pharmacist.)

Yes DS1 had a patch like that on his cheek when he was a toddler...the GP gave us some anti fungal cream (which had to be stored in the fridge for some reason)

Yes, your GP or the pharmacy will give you a cream which you should use, as directed, so it doesn't spread to other members of the household. Ringworm is highly contagious and can get out of hand very quickly in hot weather. Hope it resolves soon!

You could also try using head and shoulders classic, l think it’s like magic, clears up all sorts of skin conditions

Easy to catch and easy to go. Pharmacy for a cream, use it as directed, will be gone quickly.

Yeah you use daktarin cream. On humans and cats!
