Has anyone got any experience of successfully recording noisy neighbours
This isn't me being picky bout normal levels of noise, it's literally ne about to have a breakdown and sell up.
The thuds are frequent and go on for hours. Loud enough to rattle vases etc but aren't being captured on normal phone microphones as ther are heavy, structurat thuds. Don't tell me to keep a noise diary as that doesn't do anything.

You can get dictaphone type recording devices on amazon. They might work.

Unfortunately they won't as they, like phone microphone, are designed to cancel out low frequency noise and focus on voices only

Does videoing pick up more?

If you can’t record it, could you get an independent witness to come in and listen to it?

ALittleBitConfused1 · 26/06/2026 14:48

No because it goes through the same microphone. Its the microphone on the phone that's the issue. Unfortunately the council/landlord managing the flat above require recordings. I think ill just have to sell, it's ok in this weather because I can sit outside but ill go mad come the winter.
