Anyone else relieved they never had to wear PE kit all day?

Omg I was at secondary school many moons ago but very glad we never had to go in wearing PE kit all day. I would’ve been mortified to sit in a classroom with my (in my head) horrible legs out on show.

Remember primary school PE kit was our actual underwear right up until Year 6 😳
Secondary was shorts and polo, but they still made us do it in underwear if we didn't have our kit

To be honest, it couldn't have been worse. Our uniform was a grey gym slip (think St. Trinians). We had every pervert in the county follow us to school.

Tennis skirt & aertex would have been much better.

We did pe in our underwear at infants!!
DS wears pe kit twice a week it’s just black trackies or shorts and a white T-shirt

The school by us has skorts in proper wicking sport fabric and the girls all looked happy to be in it Mine by contrast was a yellow aertex with massive gym knickers and a netball skirt in finest nylon so would have (and did) hate it

We had a summer school uniform in my day which consisted of an Indian cotton dress and optional cardigan. The dress was royal blue and white and the cardigan ash grey. It was one of the most cool and comfortable dresses I've ever worn. Why don't they have a summer uniform these days? When did that stop?

Primary schools have summer uniforms.

Pretty sure it’s optional.
