Blackpool Pleasure Beach school trip, bags and spending money advice

My teen is going to Blackpool pleasure beach with his school year for a trip. I’ve never been. They’re leaving school at 7am and getting home at 9.30pm
Can he take a bag with him for snacks etc, and store it somewhere when he goes on a ride?
And how much money should he have for buying things like food whilst there?

We’ve paid the school trip fee for it, which I think includes the cost of the rides.

Its cashless so he'll either need a bank card, or they have their own pre payable ones. There's Burger King etc for lunch. Mine took £30 and that did lunch and some souvenir bits

You can’t take foot or drink into the pleasure beach apart from water. Maybe it’s different for school trips??

every ride has a storage area for bags so that’s not a problem at all.

food is expensive there is a Burger King inside the PB but it’s more expensive, more like service station prices. Refill drink is £20, for unlimited refills. Water is free around the park!

Thank you! That’s so helpful. I will scrap the plan to send some snacks for the bus ride home (they’re travelling from Scotland), and just put him on the bus with something for the morning.

Cashless is much easier as I’d have to drive into the city nearest me to get a cash machine that dispenses English notes, so using his card for the day makes it easier. I’ll load it with £80 then, to hopefully cover a refillable drink, lunch and something for dinner before they leave?

What have the school said about arrangements for lunch and snacks, given they're out for a long day?

I'd have thought the Blackpool Pleasure Beach website would have information about rules for bags in the park given that it will be subject to crowded spaces anti terrorism restrictions as well as safety of bags on the rides.

Perhaps the teachers/other responsible adults will be looking after lunch bags or they'll be able to keep them on the coach, but the school and Blackpool PB will know better than MN what the arrangements and rules are.

There are no arrangement for taking food there, that’s why I came on here to ask about bag storage etc. I also wanted to ask roughly how much money he’d need. The pleasure beach restaurant menus don’t include prices. It seemed much simpler just to ask anyone who has been for their advice. Is that ok with you? Because I’m pretty sure that’s what mumsnet is for.

Ask the school

Ask the school

Why? When I can ask for spending money advice from people who have been there. That’s what mumsnet is for.

Why is everyone such a dick? If you don’t have anything to add to what an OP is actually asking, then don’t post. What help do you think your comment gives?
