How long is normal to spend in a hot tub/ Jacuzzi?

Staying in a cottage which is really one cottage divided into two, so very aware of what the people staying in the other half are doing. Unfortunately, I'd prefer more privacy. Anyway both of us have jacuzzis. We haven't bothered with ours and are in bed now, but can hear the neighbors through the window. They have been in there for hours! It's after 11. Are they not going horribly wrinkly? People who like hot tubs to and jacuzzis, how long do you stay in then?

Turn your lights off. They're probably waiting for you to go to sleep so they can have jacuzzi loving. They should be out in 2-4 minutes after that.

Yes and hours

I stayed in one and watched a whole film on holiday. If they aren't disturbing you why worry?

I found jacuzzis a bit of a novelty when we stayed in hotels with them and then when I joined a gym I'd spend a short time in the jacuzzi every vist, but only for 10 minutes or so. But I'm really not interested in them now.

There's been threads on here about them where pp have talked about how sharing a jacuzzi is basically like sitting in dirty bathwater with other people. That's enough to put me off.

So goodness knows why these peopke are spending hours in their jacuzzi OP. Sounds very boring and really can't feel good on the skin.

Well it's a bit noisy actually so I'm hoping they will stop. Plus, I'm just a curious person and wondering about what's standard. I can't imagine staying in one for more than 15 or 20 minutes. But they've been in there for hours!

We’ve dropped the temperature on ours to make it a cold tub in the warmer weather, will get in it for about 10-15 minutes at a time. Dh is the same. Don’t use it in the evenings when it’s warm weather, the water is reeeally cold!
In the winter when it’s absolutely freezing I’ll spend 30 minutes up to an hour of an evening in there, totally heavenly looking up at the stars or reading my book in there. Not every night, a couple of times a week though.
It was well worth the investment for us and our neighbours have said it doesn’t bother them. I’m considerate about usage, in the winter I’ll use it at about 9 but if I were to use it later I wouldn’t put the bubbles on (hence I tend to not use it later because the bubble jets are massaging and glorious on my back) but people tend to not be sitting out in the gardens during freezing winter nights and don’t often have bedroom windows open.
Our gardens are really long though and ours is about halfway down it.

They’ve paid to stay in a property with a hot tub. Why would you expect them not to make the most of it? They’re using it for its intended purpose.
