What the heck has happened here.

Reminds me of that incident at (I think ) Tate Modern when a young boy was thrown off a balcony

A crocodile with its mouth open in an enclosure near a wooden walkway going through the centre

There's already loads of threads about this

It does sound similar. I read he had two carers with him like the Tate Modern man. Was only someone saying it on FB though so might not be correct

It’s an awful situation. I hope the boy recovers and his parents sue the care company - not that this will help, but they deserve some justice.

If someone poses a risk to the general public they should not be taken out to public places. They can still have an enriching life at specialist activity centres that are geared to care for adults with learning difficulties. Their right to a ‘normal’ life should not be more important than safety to other human lives.

I volunteer at a place with adults with learning difficulties, their carers are mostly from overseas and don’t speak fluent English, and they sit around on their mobile phones not communicating with their charges.

Adult social care needs a massive overhaul. Our most vulnerable, challenging and sometimes dangerous citizens are often cared for by people who are not interested in actually caring for them.
