DIY Artclub responds rudely to women after criticism of sexist Facebook and Instagram advert

So DIY Artclub decide to run a questionable ad across Facebook and Insta. When women point this out - instead of acknowledging it could be interpreted poorly and putting forward their thinking for the ad, instead they double down with snarky comments. Who wants to bet this account is run by a male prick?

This has, I jest you not, been stated very recently by Kingston (-upon-Thames) Council: "Electric bikes may increase women's access to cycling and physical activity by making it easier for women to meet their traditional domestic responsibilities, as well as stay looking "nice" on a bike". It was in an Equalities Impact Assessment (MN thread below):

Bloody hell! 😳

It looks like they have an automated thing responding to the comments. Which is a mistake in this case as it comes across as snark.

This isn’t the case. They’ve only responded on the ones criticising. Also, you can see where they’ve deviated on the screen grab when they pretend the original comment is about how good the product is.

You think the second comment here is automated? It’s not.

The emojis and the language used change slightly on each response, they’re not identical.

They’re absolutely doing it on purpose

"Girlss"? Are they Gollum?

I'd assumed it was actual girls, young enough to need an organised activity while the rest of the family watches a game on TV, but that's a pretty adult looking hand.... just weird.

Edited

Yes it's automated, it's using AI to adjust the responses to fit the comment.

Edited to add, I wouldn't actually be surprised if the whole post was AI generated to maximise engagement - and the real person signing off is lazy/inexperienced/being paid FA by a Chinese drop shipping company so just let things roll.
