DD (amost 20) is fussy about food in a way she was never fussy when she lived at home full time. She has never liked fish, but would happily eat everything from spaghetti bolognese, baked potatoes, roast dinner, chicken pie, pizza, halloumi wraps and all the other stuff I'd serve up. Since she has been at uni and got a new boyfriend with quite restricted tastes she eats chicken breast (not thighs), spicy rice out of a packet, eggs, avocados on toast, caesar salad, tomato or pesto pasta, the occasional chicken burger. She had a recent week in Greece on holiday and ate chicken gyros every night because everything else was "weird". Boyfriend is graduating soon and his parents are taking them all out for lunch, there is apparently "nothing" she can eat, her own brother is graduating later in the month and we've booked a table at the Ivy, again "nothing" she can eat.

I mean, on one hand she's old enough that I can just cook for the rest of us and she can sort herself out, but I thought she would be getting less fussy as she gets older not more!!

That does seem unusual and I’ve never really known it to happen outside of allergies. Hopefully it’s just a short phase and she goes back to enjoying a broader range of food.
