If you had a barky dog triggered by cars/people/animals going past...

...would you allow it to sit in the window bottom, knowing it barks every ten to twenty minutes all day everyday and you have neighbours either side? I can't understand why my neighbours do this and make my life hellish.

My neighbour's dog does this too but fortunately we are at the end of a cul de sac so not many people walk past and it makes a fairly half hearted attempt and then stops.

However the idiots in the other side have recently got a dog and put it in the conservatory at night. Where it goes mad if it sees foxes or cats. At 3am or similar. It goes on and on and on. One of my neighbours had a word with them and it did get a bit better. At first I thought they were working a night shift and leaving it in the garden. Goodness knows how they sleep through it.

Thats really terrible. People just have zero consideration for their neighbours it seems.

My dogs windowsill barking has much improved since he jumped up when a parcel was being delivered catching the curtain, ripped the curtain pole off the wall, got smacked by the curtain pole and then entangled within the curtain down the back or the sofa.

Life has been so much quieter since, maybe recommend this as a training method!!

I laughed immoderately - and cruelly - at this

Ive heard them this morning everytime the dog has barked just saying 'ey' to it in soften tones. Beats the shouting at the dog they used to do, but they simply dont have a clue of how to train or perhaps just dont care.

My springer loves barking at the neighbours going past as well. I live in a v quiet cul de sac so it didn’t happen very often, but still pissed me off.

I put window frosting on the lower half of the windows so she can’t see out and she stopped - it’s easily solved.

Buy a maraca and gift it to
your neighbour.
it works wonders for our Weimaraner who is a multi sensory dog, so reacts to movement, scent and sound. Shake it once and he stops immediately.
I think it’s highly irresponsible and unfair on a dog to let it bark endlessly.
a few barks are acceptable, you should never stop your dog using his voice.
But endless barking signifies a stressed dog

Do you live next door to my mum? This is her Yorkie, barks at everything and everyone all day every day. 🤯

Imagine living in darkness from closed blinds/curtains/shutters just to accommodate a blessed dog! World's gone mad!
There are just too many dogs.

You don’t need to live in darkness. We’ve covered the bottom half of the front window with adhesive frosting film. No more barking.
