Swift verucca treatment- does it work?

Before I spend £650 on a course of treatment for my son, does anyone have any real life experience of this?

They seem to claim about a 70 to 80% success rate.

but we have tried everything else.

I had it, and it was the most painful thing I’ve ever had done! I wasn’t able to go back for the follow up treatments to testify to whether it worked (the one session made no difference) but they really undersold the pain element to me. I’d see if it’s possible to pay for each session individually.

In the end, duct tape over the verruca worked. I think I had tried it before going for the Swift procedure (I’d tried literally everything else), but maybe not religiously enough.

Not sure what that is but treatment with a cryopen should work and it's a fraction of that price!

I had it done 3 times. By the third time I was climbing the walls as it got more painful each time. I still have the verucca.

Does it need treating? I asked GP what the recommened treatment is, in passing when I was there for something else.

He said leave it alone, it will go eventually and then you'll have immunity. Cover with a plaster for swimming. He also said he'd be happy to swim at the same pool on that basis, which was handy as we were members at the same club.

It did go after about 2 years, and I've never had another in the 20+ years since

this might be a bit late but my daughter had swift treatment when she was about 14. We tried everything and they just got worse. She had about 47 on both feet when we decided to try swift.
it really hurt and she had to have her foot numbed. They treated about 5 on one foot and within 3 weeks both feet were completely healed and she’s not had any since. She’s 19 now.

It’s not too late…I’m still pondering. That sounds really positive but 47 😱 crikey

Go to a podiatrist who has invested in the Swift machine. Mine was £100 per treatment, and you need 3 spread out over 3 months, with a free 4th appointment to check the progress to see if more treatments are required.

Mine were gone by the follow up month so had only spent £300 for 5 verrucas which were very deep and had refused to go despite lots of other treatments. Apparently they are hard to treat if you have an autoimmune condition (yay! 🙄). There are different settings so you could have it lower but more appointments, or higher and less appointments. Obviously the higher it is the more painful. As I'm compromised it was suggested we go hard and high. I won't lie, it was very painful, but the whole appointment was over in 10 minutes and afterwards I could walk around the supermarket with zero pain, which was weird 😂
