Why can’t I find full leg UV swimsuits for baby?

Hello

I’m looking for UV swimsuits for my baby girl which have full length legs, but most of the ones I can find end at knees or just below knees.

Am I missing something, is there an advantage to this? If anyone has found full length ones please let me know!

thanks

I'm guessing full leg will be a pain to get on and off. Along with being uncomfortable when wet.
Not to mention how horrible it would be to get sand up the inside of the legs. Sand paper your babies skin.

Would you also want socks and gloves to protect feet & hands?

Accept the suit has to stop somewhere and use suncream on exposed bits.

The Splashabout warm in one suits come to the ankles, or they do if you buy room for growing anyway! I get them from vinted.

This. Poor thing would be so uncomfortable. Would you want to sit around in a wetsuit all day, OP?!

Frequent factor 50 application and seek shade in peak UV hours. It’s not rocket science and your baby will be fine.

Jeez calm down, who’s saying it’s rocket science? Are you this rude in real life or just hiding behind a screen?

Thanks for those who have offered helpful advice Smile

Wow people are being mean to you. If the baby is tiny there won't be any sand and she's too small for sun cream. If the baby is a bit bigger, cover up is far better than sun cream and more comfortable! Sand just sticks to suncream. Normal cotton leggings might be more comfortable if you're not in the water though. Those little uv suits do get very very cold when they're wet though, even in a heated pool. You're better with a proper baby wetsuit.

They’re the norm in Australia for toddlers and babies so I think your concerns may be unfounded.

OP, check M&S as they do one every year usually as a hat and swimsuit set. I can see a pink one on their website for this year. Or Vinted for last season.

Other brands I can see - Mori, Tu, Boden.

Search for “full coverage” or “full length” baby swimsuit.

Muslim babies’/kids’ swimwear! It’s looser on the leg- not like wetsuit at all- and comfortable.
I’m a non-Muslim but I have embarrassing varicose veins and besides, I’ve never felt comfortable showing my figure on the beach. I wear the leggings and my own swim tank. It’s been a great solution for protecting my very fair skin too.

I usually get full-length UV suits for my DS from Asda, Sainsbury’s or MORI. They usually come with a UV hat.

He’s never had sand up the inside of the legs, they are easy to get on and off and, most importantly, he has never been sunburnt.

Can recommend Splashabout - DS hated feeling cold, but was always fine in their warm wetsuits (they do thinner ones too). They fit like a baby grow.

Have a look in next and some of the supermarkets do good ones. I may be wrong but I’m sure Speedo do some (one of those type of brands)

We’ve had this one in various sizes and colours, sometimes from Vinted. It tends to be full length at the start of the summer, then 3/4 length by the end when they’ve grown a chunk!
