Recommend me the best laundry pegs

So much excitement for a Sunday evening right! 😆

But please, I need new clothes pegs, the ones I have are probably older than my children and are becoming brittle and breaking.
Assuming we will actually have a summer to hang laundry out...

Lakeland the pastel colours ones with a flower pattern and the soft cushion bit to avoid marking your clothes. They also do some jumbo rounded bulldog clip style for duvets

I’ve had a set of these for 18 years and they are still going strong…. I know exactly how long I’ve had them because I bought them when I moved into my current home! They actually still look like new.

Mostly recycled plastic, really strong, don't seem to be affected by UV. I've had a set for nearly four years, and they've been great.

Wooden ones. Plastic ones always go brittle and snap (apart from the red ones, strangely)

Ooh, I know this!! I buy them from B&M but just googled and can't find them there, although found the same style in Asda:

https://www.asda.com/groceries/product/6140306?cmpid=ppc--pmax_google----google---_-dskwid-_dm&s_kwcid=AL!11432!3!!!!x!!&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23320599798&gbraid=0AAAAADuzMyjikE1c_vnuv9g9GU4z7H7CZ&gclid=Cj0KCQjwrZTRBhDSARIsAHidYfe6woIDpHe3fjgxEpfC9nAx5pI_8dePl9EgfbgAkOADRde3lHtwaXoaAukREALw_wcB

They have no metal spring so can't go rusty, and they're unbreakable - if the middle bit that functions as the spring pops out, you just pop it back in. I love them ❤️

N.B. They keep your washing in place as long as you actually clamp the line and item between the "teeth", rather than further up in the gappy bit.

I find these a complete pain in the ass
I took some on holiday (we were in a villa and could do washing) and left them there as they kept falling apart

Dahliasrule · 07/06/2026 22:23

I’m another Lakeland pegs fan. They seem to last and are very secure. I am not keen on wooden ones as I have had some go a bit black at the end and mark the clothes.

WonderWeeksArentReal · 07/06/2026 22:14

These are good. Im sure ive bought green/yellow ones from Morrison's years ago. No metal bits to go rusty

FoxHedgehogBadger · 07/06/2026 23:37

The world doesn’t need any more pointless plastic, which will snap/break anyway.
Decent wooden pegs are the way to go!
Huge pack here for a cheap price but you can get smaller packs too.

Surely all pegs are pretty much the same? Mine came from Asda probably about ten years ago. Still perfectly fine and useable.
