About to be made redundant from a job I've had 10+ years and completely spiralling

I work for a very small business and have done since I left college 11 years ago. I worked full time for a number of years before having children and dropping down to part time ever since. AI is completely wiping out our industry and business is looking terrible, client cancellations etc. There is just myself, my colleague and our boss. Colleague is full time and joined when I had my first child 7 years ago.

Quite close to my boss who has given me the heads up that business is looking bad, they're doing all they can but it's looking likely I'll be let go

My youngest is due to start nursery school in September and as long as I have a job they'd be able to do 30 hours so I was hoping to up my hours slightly then, they'd only be able to do 15 hours if I lose my job which is probably what upsets me the most as they're so excited about it

My industry is being swallowed whole by AI and I have no idea what career to move into next as I feel all the training I did for this job is now pointless. I don't drive, childcare is complicated due to SEN and having looked the past few days there are no jobs in my area at all that I could go for due to hours/travel/experience.

Financially we'd be okay for a few months but I'm absolutely spiralling at WTF to do next. This job is all I've known.

I’m sorry to hear this. It must be very stressful. Are you able to give us n idea of your skills so we could advise on next steps?

Schools are often recruiting and you may have transferable skills. I’d have a look at your local council website and the website of any multi academy trust in your area. You’ve time to sort this before the end of summer and term time work may fit in well with your DC
