Utterly boring but if you use a class collection for your kids teacher at the end of year- what site/ app do you use?
Presents cost so much and I would hate as a teacher to get lots of schmutter so I want to propose a collection but no idea where to start.
tks in advance

I really wouldn’t. These class collections put pressure on parents. You might say, ‘oh, but it’s only a fiver/tenner a head’, but for a family with 3 or 4 children that can add up.

Just give a Costa card or Amazon voucher yourself.

Teachers get lots of 'schmutter' anyway due to all the class collections.

Amazon voucher and/or a nice thank you card with thoughtful words.

We’ve used Thankbox before. It’s set up as an ecard so people can leave their individual messages, alongside an option to donate cash to a collection pot if they wish to, which can then be exchanged by the recipient for a voucher of their choice or cash into their bank if they prefer.

We just do a bank transfer to the Mum who volunteers to organise it. And she doesn't specify an amount so you could send her £2 if you wanted.

I wouldn’t demand everyone does it or publish what people give- it’s just impossible given the cost of things to buy a “cheap” present anymore.

Not something I’d be keen to do, either as the mum who organises it or as a mum who would give to it.

Our class has used Collctiv before which seems to work well.

Does the collector arrange a voucher or does the app email it to the teacher (we aren’t given teachers email addresses)

With Thankbox you’d need an email address for the receiver.

I work in a large school. I love it when students write beautiful things in a card., I save them and read them when I am feeling downhearted.
i get some gorgeous presents, I recently had a wooden heart with the words ‘ thank you for looking after me and saving me’ engraved on the heart. It’s now on my wall at home.
I don’t need presents, the cards are beautiful.

Poundland box of chocs and a nice note.

Really, the best thing you can give is an email praising you, to the Head.

I am a teacher who has largely worked in deprived catchment areas.
