What protein rich snacks do you have on hand?

I have teens who are revising and looking for snacks. They don't want UPF stuff and that dint want what would have been available to me (sandwich and cereal). So far, I've come up with hummus and olives plus cheese and cold meats. We've had a few of those punnets of sausage rolls, satay chicken etc but they're not all that popular. What else can I try?

Hard boiled eggs
rice cakes with cottage cheese
grahams yoghurt pouches
fruit
toasted sourdough with feta and avocado or ham and cottage cheese or peanut butter

Greek yoghurt, topped with nuts, honey or frozen fruit. Aldi’s proper greek yoghurt is excellent and very inexpensive. They do reasonably priced bags of chopped frozen fruit too.

Peanut butter with rice cakes, toast or crackers, or as a dip for apples, carrots and celery.

Eggs….hard boiled as snacks but also at breakfast to set them up well for the day.

If they are looking for something meaty how about chicken drumsticks. You can buy a big tray cheaply, marinade them in spices or a homemade bbq sauce…you know what your DC will like…lots of recipes online or leave them plain. Just roast them in the oven. More satisfying and cheaper than ready made.

Crispy chickpeas…easy to make and cheap. Recipe attached.

Roasted chickpeas

Forget the crisps and serve up a healthy snack of crispy chickpeas with cumin and paprika flavours. You can eat them warm or cold – ideal when you’re peckish

Chicken thighs/breats/drumsticks/wings with different marinades/flavours,
hard boiled eggs or make egg bites.
tins of fish/tuna (ds often happily just eats a can of tuna plain)
protein yogurts, skyr, protein pudding/mouses (I’m sure protein on the label is a marketing ploy but my boys like them even so- I’m sure they’re UPF but Greek yogurt etc is good)
cottage cheese- again my boys just eat it from the tub.

Cottage cheese blended with frozen fruit to make ice cream.

Flatbreads/wraps made with 50/50 greek yogurt and flour. You can add grated cheese and garlic as well.

Scones made with either cottage cheese or Greek yoghurt and flour. Add choc chips, raisins or frozen raspberries (or all of them)

You can also make bagels with the same dough, just shape them differently and cover in seeds then bake.

And loads of chicken. Especially with the flat breads. I tend to marinate 2kg cut into strips with lemon juice, greek yoghurt, paprika, garlic, onion powder, oregano then whack it in the oven. Great hot and then cold later.

Also shop bought wraps with mince (chicken or beef) squished down onto them and then fried. You can also put whisked eggs into a frying pan then chuck a wrap on top and fry into a omelette/wrap combo.

Thanks for those ideas. I've just bought babybels, chicken, yoghurt and sausages.
