What Henry Nowak’s murder does — and does not — tell us about policing
Kemi Badenoch says his killing needs to be seen as a ‘Stephen Lawrence moment’ but the failures in both cases differ

If anyone has seen the picture of a bloke in a suit and a weird moustache at the riots yesterday, that is Alek Yerbury, leader of the fascist National Rebirth Party.

Just following Farage's orders.

Ex member of Patriotic Alternative. Also involved in the riots in 2024.

DuncinToffee · 03/06/2026 12:27

Is Farage at PMQs?

eta
He is

OP posts:
Notonthestairs · 03/06/2026 12:38

But of course - he attends only when he thinks he can gain something, ideally a 20 second clip for GB News and TikTok

DuncinToffee · 03/06/2026 12:40

I didn't see this yesterday

Zia Yusuf defends Reform UK social media post implying Badenoch does not care about white lives

Yesterday Reform UK posted a message on its official X account saying:
Kemi Badenoch, just like Starmer, doesn’t care.

Only Reform UK will openly say that white lives matter too.

Vile

Keir Starmer's response to Nigel Farage at PMQs just now was probably the most powerful and eloquent I have seen him in the Commons. The full answer is worth reading.

What a despicable, poisonous performance by Farage. As Starmer said, by doing the opposite of what the Nowak family requested, he has shown yet again exactly who he is.

I can only hope the booze and fags catch up with Farage sooner rather than later.

placemats · 03/06/2026 12:54

Farage has left PMQs before it finished.

He's running away. 'Poor' Dickie Tice is left behind.

I agree that Starmer's response to Farage was excellent.

Good shame he can’t be booted out permanently for incitement.

LizzieW1969 · 03/06/2026 13:00

I thought Starmer’s response to Farage was spot on at PMQs. And I’m glad that Kemi has responded appropriately for once.

Notonthestairs · 03/06/2026 13:01

Farage got what he wanted from PMQs. Social media.

PickAChew · 03/06/2026 13:06

Yep. Something to like and share. That's all he cares about. Promoting Farage plc and whatever its pet topic is, this week.

MsJinks · 03/06/2026 13:08

Farage really has gone too far though and this was pointed out over and over today. Surely only thugs and the intellectually challenged can think it ok to reject what Henry Nowak’s family wanted.

Farage should be ashamed of himself - he won’t be - but I wonder if he realises he has possibly misread the room and is now more closely linked with the likes of Tommeh, whom he has spent some time distancing himself from previously.

Starmers response was excellent.
And to be fair Ed Davey and Kemi Badenoch were pretty good too.

Farage is such a loathsome man. I hope he gets his comeuppance soon.

Starmer is better when he lest his 'control' mask slip. He was very moving when he spoke about Brianna Ghey too.

Piggywaspushed · 03/06/2026 13:21

I tried to mention Dalian Atkinson as anotehr victim of terrible policing - a British one at that- yesterday. I had half (selective half) of Wikipedia quoted back at me and was told he was a 'violent criminal'. I am still angry.

There is definitely a sub section of society , seen on MN, who only care when a white person has been a victim of police mishandling (and in Atkinson's case manslaughter).

Yes he did and those who still support him after that are as disgusting as he is.

I’m surprised he hasn’t - perhaps even Farage doesn’t want him! Equally likely he’s debating between Reform and Restore.

Didn't Farage set a deadline of May 7th for any would be Tory defectors ? Pretty certain he said after that they'd find the doors barred ?

Farage has said his party will not accept any more defectors after local elections are held on 7 May.
"Any Conservative MP who still clings to the hope that their party can recover and waits until May 8 to try to leave the sinking ship does not understand how rapidly things are changing out in the country," he wrote in the Telegraph.

Nigel Farage speaks into a microphone in front of a turquoise background during a press conference

Reform is not rescue charity for panicky Tory MPs, Farage says

He insists his party will not become "the Conservative Party 2.0" after Robert Jenrick's defection.

placemats · 03/06/2026 13:39

Perhaps Katie Lam will defect to Restore then.

Specifically White men. They don't seem to give a shit when it's a woman.

I was just coming to post on this. I’m not sure how popular Advance was but I guess sadly it’s good for Restore.

Yes I had forgotten that. Wonder if he holds the line on it? I struggle sometimes to recall who is now Reform but previously Tory, and who has stayed Tory - some Tories/Reform are all much of a muchness to me. Must try harder!
