Anyone with bmi <30 got GLP-1 for Lipodema?

I haven’t been diagnosed but I’m confident that I have Lipodema. My lower half has always been 1-2 sizes bigger than my smaller and more toned upper half and I have pretty extreme cellulite despite being fairly fit and not really overweight.

now I’m perimenopausal it’s got a lot worse, and even my calves are looking lumpy. I’m dreading where this will go, and I really want to avoid surgery (plus I can’t afford it). Has anyone managed to get hold of GLP1s at a lower bmi for this condition and been able to successfully halt progress (or even better, reverse it)? Any other tips?

there’s so much online about anti inflammatory diet, compression, wobble board, dry brushing… it’s so overwhelming and sounds like a full time job!! I admit I really want a quicker fix. I have a bmi of 26 so unlikely to get mounjaro and just feel stuck.

I don’t think they would work for lipo weight would they?

You sound similar to me and roughly same BMI, mine has also got worse in menopause.
I’ve not got compress garments but plan to. I do dry brush a couple times a week and moisturise every day.

As far as I am aware the only cure is liposuction. I’ve been diagnosed almost a year mines type 1 but it’s my whole legs and hips.

nothing doing on the lipodema here. And I’ve been on them for 22 month.

ah I had read some positive stuff about GLP1s lowering inflammation. Sorry they’ve not helped you @Wallywobbles - it probably is too good to be true :(. Has anything else helped at all? Are you considering surgery?

i need to be more disciplined with the dry brush too @icannotlivelaughloveintheseconditions it all feels like a lot to do and remember to just keep this awful condition from progressing too fast rather than making improvement. It’s quite depressing.
