Where do people buy birthday cards these days?

Does anyone know where is good for cheap birthday cards now? I used to get them from Card Factory when they did 10 cards for £1, but that offer seems to have disappeared. I begrudge paying £2-£4 for a card that usually ends up in the recycling a few days later.

Where do people buy affordable cards these days?

Sainsbury's do some cheaper ones. I refuse to pay more than £3 for a card!

Someone on here recommended the website Whistlefish and I bought their 10 for £12 offer. I think there’s delivery on top of that. But the cards are fantastic quality and good choice.

Card Factory if I’m in town or Sainsburys, yes the cost has gone up, but I send far fewer than I used to.

I buy about 30 generic ones from Whistlefish every January and use them over the year. I find it a crazy hidden cost otherwise.

Another whistlefish fan here, I buy in bulk in January for family birthdays plus a few generic cards. I also bought stamps last time, all i have to do is fling them in the post box.

Highly recommend them.

I like Thortful cards, although hate the grey envelopes. Very funny cards. Otherwise Sainsbury’s are ok, and ALDI’s for generic ones.

ProfessorRedshoeblueshoe · 21/05/2026 19:16

Must depend on where you are then. I live in Manchester and I only bought some a few weeks ago.
