I don’t even know if I’m posting this in the right part of the forum, but here we go. Last year I lost my dog to illness. It was absolutely heartbreaking. I have just purchased a pup from a reputable breeder but one week in I am so stressed. She’s only nine weeks old and as expected very needy I’ve just spent most of the day cleaning up poo and we again this is expected with a young dog. I’m starting to feel very overwhelmed and questioning if I have done the right thing. I guess just a handhold needed.

You could report your post & ask MN to move it to the 'dog house'. You might enjoy the threads there too! Specifically in 'puppy regret'

you need to be taking her outside ALL the time! Every 30 minutes, as soon as she wakes up. After she eats/drinks (it's relentless when they're tiny, but soon passes!!)

theyre hard work, but SO worth it! What breed is she?

...and where are the photos??

Have you started crate training? It was a god send to me during the puppy years, we don’t use it any longer but really helped. What breed of dog have you got?

Puppy blues. Been there, I just focused on how cute she was until she started being a pleasure to own and not an absolute nightmare.

There’s a puppy survival thread where you can get a lot if support.

The puppy stage is Horrible. They’re cute for a reason. I know with our dog, we had to establish a routine, and put him in his crate for naps. At times, I dreaded when he was awake.

it gets better when you’re able to take them fir walks.
