Eczema itching... can scratch star, bamboo bedding and seaweed solutions really help?

My teen DS really struggles with eczema - particularly the itching in the night.

I keep seeing new products advertised as providing relief with lots and lots of positive reviews - but they are pricey and I'm very aware reviews can be manipulated

Has anyone tried the new scratching product from cost-care (scratch star, scratch balls etc) and are they as helpful as the reviews suggest?

Or have people found others things like changing to bamboo bedding or using seaweed shower/bath washes and creams helps with the itching associated with eczema?.

Are they any better than e.g. the oat based wash stuff or are there any other 'safe scratching' tools people use.

The costs seems so high for what they are for all of these things but it seems hard to find cheaper equivalents.

Not sure about those products, but my itching stopped after I started taking collagen. I take Vital Proteins, as it's the highest dose you can get.I used to scratch so much that I bled. My legs were scarred and my sheets were always covered in blood. All gone away now. It does take a few months to work.

I haven’t tried Scratch Star specifically, but most “scratch tools” seem to help only a bit by distracting from scratching rather than treating the eczema itself.
Bamboo bedding and seaweed/oat products are also a bit hit-and-miss—some people find them soothing, but there’s no strong evidence they improve eczema long-term. Often it’s more about keeping things cool, soft, and fragrance-free than the material itself.
For night itching, the basics still tend to work best: regular heavy moisturising, cool bedroom, cotton bedding, and avoiding irritants like fragranced detergents.
