Bedguard for adults.

I'm not a piss troll honest but I'm about to kill my neighbours dog. My neighbour has had spinal damage and is now confined to bed wearing a nappy and having a catheter, but his dog is constantly on the bed trying to get at the nappy and rip it off then chewing it up. I live opposite him in a flat and he's constantly screaming for me to come and get the dog off him.
I've told him several times he needs to rehome the dog but he says no, he just need the dog to stop doing it.
Isn't here any sort of bed guard that could keep the dog off him?

Surely with pj pants over the pad and covers the dog can’t access. Even hospital beds at home only have sides on a dog can still jump up.
If the neighbour lives alone who is caring for and walking the dog? You are right to suggest rehoming but I understand why he feels he needs the companionship.

Honestly, the dog just pulls the blankets off and would probably just rip off the pj bottoms too. He has a dog walker for an hour every day which is costing him a fortune but he just won't let the dog go. He's looking for something domed in a hard plastic that could be fixed to the bed to keep the dog off.

Well you are correct that the dog needs rehoming, that’s just appalling behaviour

Presumably your neighbour has some sort of care package and is known to Adult social care. Can you call or email them and tell them of the situation?

Also tell them you are not prepared to manage it for them or your neighbour.

Depending on the breed , but I wouldn’t think a bed with sides would stop an athletic dog. I cannot picture what your neighbour is actually thinking of.

Sorry, but your neighbour needs to have someone come and train his dog , or he needs to give the dog up.

BTW, we have several dogs in our extended family, and a family member in similar straits. Never once have any of the dogs taken any notice of her incontinence protection. That is not normal.

I know its not normal, that's why I think the dog needs to go. He has carers four times a day plus regular visits from district nurses who all dislike the dog.

Perhaps he enjoys you running over and seeing him in such a state. Many men have strange fetishes.

That's all I need!

^ i agree he could be the piss/ poo troll. My advice is to get some noise cancelling headphones to wear in your flat and ignore the bugger.
