Daily fibre supplements for constipation without relying on Laxido?

I suffer from constipation. Am trying my best to change up my diet to include more fibre. But im wondering is there any supplement that people have found works that I could take daily?
I do take laxido every so often but don’t want to rely on it

Thanks @ToSayYouHaveNoChoiceIsAFailureOfImaginationthat’s ok then. Would that we could get any fruit &/or vegetable into the young person who’s already on Sennocides! The other young person has a physical disability which affects her digestion. She eats really healthily, with plenty of fibre in her diet.

The GP is well aware of all this, so my concerns are allayed.

Kiwi fruit! Especially the skin. Trust me … it works

I suffer badly since being on mj.

Chia seeds made me gag. Magnesium tablets too big to swallow. I eat a handful of prunes a day but resent the calories. I do like a kiwi but can't face the skin. I drink a lot. Nothing helps! I'm onto movicol soon if I can't get going but I hate the stuff.

Golden flaxseed- I assume ground - ???? I'm going to buy some to try and will add to my daily yogurt.

@PearlsTeapot I mix the chia and flax into cottage cheese or yogurt and barely notice it. Have you tried that?

You can get magnesium in powder form or in effervescent tabs to mix with water and drink. That's what I do as I gag and choke trying to swallow bigger pills, so I'm with you on that one!

Yes, ground or milled chia, flaxseed is practically unnoticeable if mixed with weetabix or greek yogurt. I add oat bran too, which is very fine and has great fibre and anti cholesterol properties.

Once I get the fibre in at breakfast time, I forget about it after that. My job is done!

Diet only plays 1 part in passing stool OP. Your position on the toilet can have a massive baring too. Buy a squatty potty, or even bricks/large tins to lift your feet into a more squat like position. It really does make a huge difference.

I take psyllium husk. I've never been constipated but I am definitely more regular and movements are easy.

I agree with this

I bought one and find it harder to 'go'!
