Morning All! What are you all up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day after a lie in with boy cat laid on top of me! He's quite heavy! The washer's on for towels and a few pots are soaking to be washed in a bit.

I have a very slight hangover/tiredness going on but hopefully that'll shift after my brew ☕️. If not, I might nip for a nap later on.

Dd2's just left for another revision session at school, she's meeting a friend to walk with but coming home on her own as friend is staying for a second session in a subject dd doesn't do. I haven't heard from dd1 yet...she'll still be sleeping I imagine.

I really need to shift & prep some veg for the stew I said I'd make for tea but cba right now. I'll sort tablets for the week first. The rest of the day will be pottering, crafting...something but undecided what...and maybe reading. I also really really need to order a sofa!!

We'll have the stew for tea, then early showers and an early night (for dd2 as well - first exam tomorrow morning!), ready for school tomorrow 💤.

Its Mothers' Day where I am so DD is baking me a cake (with help from me because apparently she can't do it by herself), OH is cleaning the house from top to bottom, and DS has gone off to play football with a friend.

I'm going to make spinach pancakes soon for dinner, then watch House with DD.

Washed all the bedding and got the summer duvets down from the attic. Cleaned my car, done a bit of gardening and walked the dog with some friends.
I’ve put beef on to slow cook and am going to go and do short run and some weights. Perfect day.

im always a bit sceptical that they stay okay for more than a day or two but understand layering and moisture is the main issue.
Not sure I’d be up for prepping for the full week but I’d do one for the day and another for the following day.
i wfh Mondays and Fridays and then usually one more day during the week so sometimes just get lunch out as a bit of a treat and to get some fresh and and be away from my desk.
Or I take leftovers.
I might make myself one of these tuna mayo salads for Tuesday though.

@LadyMacbethssweetArabianhand and @Thislittlekitten it has been a lovely day so far. Middle grandson (11) decided he wanted to learn how to play scrabble after lunch, so his mum and I played scrabble with him. What actually happened is that I helped him a LOT, and as he had some good letters he trounced us both thoroughly! Mr Dilemma is taking the local lot home shortly, and then Houdini and his mummy are going out to soft play. I will make a start on cleaning up the kitchen. Mr Dilemma has already filled the dishwasher and dealt with the leftovers, a lot of which have gone home with local daughter and her family.

@CarrotParsnipOnion who did you see in concert? I'm being very lazy too - there are loads of things "to do" but they can wait 🤷‍♀️.
