I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my conservatory spot, with dd2. Both cats are bird watching and ekekek-ing at the birds in the garden this morning. Dd2's chattering away filling my lovely silence 🤣.

She's heading off to the shopping outlet down the road, with her friend, in about an hour, to do some revision. Friends mum is driving them, and then collecting them in a few hours.

I spent yesterday afternoon gardening, after B&Q, so am going to spend the day finishing off in the conservatory and sanding the bookshelf to go in here. The rose is finally re-potted - whether she regrows or not remains to be seen 🤔.

Dd1 has no plans so will be roped into something...she'll no doubt complain about that.

No idea what's for tea, no-one got anything out to defrost so it'll be something from the freezer. Possibly followed by trifle since I still owe dd1 a trifle from her birthday when her dad bought masses of cakes 🤣.

After that my usual Self-Care-Sunday scrubby everything shower and an hour with book or crochet, as always, then bed 💤.

What about you lot? 🙂

Good morning @lucysmam and everyone, and Happy Birthday @RS1987!

I've just got home after swimming, and I am STARVING! Mr Dilemma has just made me a lovely cup of coffee, and I might cajole him into a game of scrabble to take my mind off lunch until later.

I've got a wash on with the swimming towels in it (and other stuff). That will need to be dried and folded, and there is another wash to put on after that, but that's all I have planned for today.

I need to check with Houdini's mother which meals they will be home for when she comes down on Thursday - I'm not even sure which day she is going home - and it does make a difference to my shopping list! I'm having a lover and bacon ready meal with cabbage this evening, and I'm hoping that Mr Dilemma will have the home made liver casserole that is in the freezer. He is very weird about anything he considers to be 'leftovers' so even though this is NOT leftovers, he may not want it. He had some chicken and broccoli in sauce that I made to go with pasta from the freezer the other day and, although he was making noises about it before he had it - he said how nice it was. So I know he'll like it, if I can just get him to eat it!

It will be so nice to have some proper food when Houdini is here... we're planning on roast beef on Thursday and I can't wait! Even if I won't be having any roast potatoes.

Morning everyone 😊

I finally had my baby on the 21st April.

After 4 days of passed between antenatal ward and labour ward and all different forms of induction I finally had her
Shes absolute lovely. 12 days old today and im currently wrapped up in a newborn bubble enjoying her.

Today involves sorting out and unpacking my hospital bags, washing premature clothes that I got delivered yesterday from vinted.

Putting on a roast chicken shortly for dinner with all the trimmings.

Kids are happy at the moment playing PlayStation and im just having a lie down with sweet baby girl watching her sleep and reading on here

Have a lovely sunday and a lovely bank holiday all ❤️

Good morning lucysmam and to u all we have been planting this morning as weather nice here at mo then plan is to pop Nxt door to cemetery as they have been grass cutting and I want to wipe the graves over as I’m fanatical over making sure they look perfect . Then it’s steak for dinner today as it’s just 4 of us and then catching up with my series later with a few wines . Have a great and safe day all 🫶

I had a late and disturbed night last night, fretting/dreaming about my much-loved uncle who is busy actively dying. Gave up on proper sleep at about 6am and just dozed for another hour or so before getting up.

Went to Home Bargains for opening, just to get out of the house as much as anything. Managed to spend £40 on just bits and pieces, but did get the crisp cupboard WELL stocked up with family favourites! I then went to Boots to get some photos printed off.

Have just pottered and done nothing all afternoon. Had a bit of a squabble with my mum, via text. I think we're both just feeling rattled and sensitive. We then subsequently emailed each other pictures of things in our gardens, so we're okay.

I would quite like to settle down this evening and watch something. But I suspect I'm not really in the right head space. There's quite a lot of laundry dumped on the bed in the spare room that needs sorting out, so I might just quietly busy myself with that instead.
