Where can I watch hoarding and cleaning programmes these days?

Anyone know where programmes such as Hoarders: Buried Alive are shown? I seem to recall them on TV ages ago but no idea where they're shown now, if anywhere. Used to really enjoy seeing the transformations.

Any hoarding or cleaning programmes would do! I find them motivational 😁

Presume you’ve watched sort your life out? There’s May series on iplayer

It’s basically laughing and ogling at people with mental health problems. The lowest form of entertainment in my book!

YouTube have some good channels where they are NOT laughing at anyone but rather they help with compassion. For example, CleanWith Bea. Also RemiClog does her own house and gives inspirational voiceovers. I can't remember the others that I've watched.

YouTube? Most things are on there

Midwest Magic Cleaning on YouTube is brilliant for cleaning videos.

@keepswimming38 - where in my post did I say I was laughing at the people featured? As someone with mental health issues myself, that's the last thing I'm going to do.

As I stated, I find it motivational. And uplifting to see the transformations.

I've looked on youtube and found Remi Clog - she's great - love her outlook and how she reminds us that we shouldn't be judgemental about people who find themselves in these situations.

Happy to look on youtube but really miss the longer programmes.

If you genuinely want help decluttering watch Dana K White on you tube. She has a very ADHD friendly method.

she has 'one hour better' sessions with real people, all before/during/after.

there were some 'hoarding buried alive' episodes on recently, my Tivo box recorded them as I had 'hoard' on wish list for something else. I've deleted them so can't see which channel they were on, but if you google it, it should tell you.

@AnotherName2025 - thank you, that name rings a bell, think I may have heard her on a podcast. I will l have a look.

My home isn't bad these days, but there's still some parts that need attention. It's a slow process and sometimes it helps to have a bit of a boost to get me in the mood!

Hoarders is now shown on Prime. They’ve even got a 24/7 channel

Yes, she has lots of podcasts too & a website with more videos.

she's definitely motivating!

I like to watch 'sort your life out' but it's terrifying not motivating! I don't have a house like the ones featured & I'd love to help people that do, but I couldn't do it like that! Whereas I could help someone using DKW's methods.

Space Maker Method on YouTube is very good, also the Carla Project. More of a declutter than hoarding.

A dear friend of mine featured on a programme about the mental health connection with hoarding. It was handled extremely sensitively, definitely not voyeuristic or anything macabre.

in my friend's case, she had lost her husband to cancer and her house became overwhelmingly cluttered with clothes and just stuff.

the team who helped her get it all sorted out were amazing. I was in tears it was so moving. They don't just chucked stuff out, in the case of her husband's suits, they went through each article of clothing, talked to her about her memories of him wearing them and then gave her the decision whether to keep them or not. Many items ended in the charity shop pile, but she would never have coped with the decision on her own.

in the end her home looked beautiful. They shampooed the carpets, sanitised the kitchen and bathroom and got all her clothes sorted into seasonal outfits, things she forgot she had, during her husband's long illness. Even the cat got a new feeding area with a proper mat to keep the floor clean.

I’m rewatching a lot of Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners on YouTube, it used to be on C4. I put it on while I clean or tidy. It’s like body doubling, but also interesting to see the reasons behind both sides.

Thank you for all your suggestions. To those who suggested Sort Your LIfe Out; I do watch it, but I get a bit irritated by all the hugging and whatnot - all the hugging when they first meet the families and when there's any emotion. Maybe I'm just a miserable bugger!

@liquoriceallsortfamily - thank you, that's useful to know. My membership runs out in May so will try cram a few episodes in before then!

@mathanxiety I quoted your post there, didn't mean to! Thanks for your suggestion, will have a look at that later today.
